Another gorgeous beer from Hair of the Dog. Fuzzy brown, thin head. Peach and malt aroma. Very full bodied with oak, malt, peach notes. Warming malt finish. No alcohol burn

A delicious unique beer. Haven’t tasted anything quite like this before. Pours a nice dark amber, no head though. Smells great like bourbon and peaches. Taste starts with some bourbon, and then the peach comes in. The two work perfectly together, coming in waves and blending nicely. Also some marzipan and coconut in the finish. Ir tastes very much like a white port. Damn good! Had on tap at the brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at the brewpub
Murky amber color, dull hue, compact head. The aroma provides loads of bourbon. Fairly sweet, with a very good malt base, a mellow fruity touch, strong bourbon character and pleasant alcohol warmth. The base beer is the winning element here, the bourbon and peach are a fun experiment.
Excellent beer.

First rate, cool. Tap at the brewery. Pours a shade darker and oranger than regular Fred. Flat looking, not much or no head. Peach pulp settled at the bottom. Aroma at first is straight bourbon. Nice but pretty much indistinguishable from Bourbon Fred. I think I get some fruitiness but might be placebo. As this warms the fruity peach aspects deepen and peaches are definitely there. Flavor is soft, fruity, low carbonation and smooth. Peach and bourbon both there. The fruitiness might cover up some complexities but this is super drinkable and about as sessionable as it gets for 10%+ bourbon barrel stuff.

Poured slightly darker orange than Fred with minimal white head around the edges. Nose is moderate amounts of peach, smooth bourbon, vanilla, oak, slight honey, and smooth caramel like malt. Taste is initially sweet bourbon, vanilla, oak, slight honey, and then a silky smooth peach flesh flavor. The fruit plays really well with the normal Fred creating a balanced palate that isn’t as sweet as Fred. Great beer especially after Apricot Fred. Mouthfeel was oily like Fred with a dry champagne finish. Awesome stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a bright cloudy orange color with a medium white head. A big fruity huge bourbon nose. The flavor is hot bourbon, woody, sweet and tart peaches, a bit of sugary malts. The overall package here is a sweet malty big barrel aged brew. Excellent. The fruit treatment shines.

Tap sampler at brewery, cloudy medium Amber, no head or lace. Aroma bourbon and citrus. Taste is bourbon, peach, alcohol, dry cider, finishing with whiskey barrel. Huge barrel presence here, but the peach makes it through, not sure the fred does though. Palate is suprisingly light, carbonation moderate and soft.

Tap @ Hair of the Dog during their 17th anniversary weekend... Poured an amber/honey tone with lots of floaties (actually chunks of peaches). Aroma was much like regular Fred with hints of vanilla bourbonish tones. Peach really played nicely, a good sweet balance to the booziness. Sherry-like, and a dry, champagne alcohol quality.

On draught at Hair of the Dog. Dark, golden amber color. Oaky, sweet caramel, and fruity aroma. Taste of bourbon, peach, plum, and wood. Really warming feel and sweet syrup aftertaste.

Draft at brewery. Strong nose of peach and vanilla. Moderate tangy flavors. Some floaters in the glass (peach floaters). Lingering fuzzy finish with slight alcohol warming. Sticky sweet finish. Great stuff.
