12 oz bottle at Volo - poured an opaque reddish orange with an off-white head. Beautiful fresh floral aroma filled with rosehip, sour cherry and lemon. Flavour quite nice, mainly sweet with some tartness bringing up the rear and a small dose of hops. This is a very unique "tripel", and is certainly one of the more interesting beers I’ve had. Very well-crafted. I look forward to trying more of the Hair of the Dog brews.

Jul 15, 2008 Bouteille de 355 ml, bu à Volo à Toronto, le 12/7/08. Rousse un peu brumeuse, pas de collet. Arome d’épice sûrette, malte caramelisé. Goût très sûrette, notes de bétrave, un peu épicé et pas très malté. Un triple bizzard, point!

Jul 14, 2008 Bottle. Batch 38. Deep golden color with an off-white head. Strong nose of alcohol (port wine/brandy) caramel, raisins and honey. Taste of raisins, pepper and spice. Nice finish.

Jun 30, 2008 Bottle. Coppar colour with an off-white head. Aroma is alcohol, yeast, caramel, peppar. Flavour is sweet, alcohol, yeast, caramel, flower, pepper. Strange beer, but still a nice one.

Jun 29, 2008 Bottle. It pours a clear, copper body with a small, off-white head. Sweetish, flowery nose with caramel and nuts, notes of roasted malt and a touch of alcohol. Sweet and sugary in the mouth, with caramel, some alcohol and pepper and Brazilian pepper. Medium to full body, rather sweetish and a bit biting mouthfeel. Lasting sweet and peppery finish. The flavor grows better and better as you drink it, and it’s one of the strangest tripels I’ve had. But nice! (080509)

Jun 29, 2008 Cant really see why this beer is scaled as a tripel besides what the label says.
From the bottle pours a hazy reddish beer with a medium white head. Very earthy and dusty nose from the beets and a spicy crisp from the rose pepper with some malt and hops. Flavour is spicy but the beets is from sure there too. Its pretty weird but in some way I like it very much.
