UPDATED: MAR 29, 2005 2004 bottle. Mmmmmm I really enjoyed the 15% of the bottle I got to drink for 3 dollars. OH WAIT? No, I didnt. I paid money for this, it blew up and I mean blew up. This was even more infected than the De Dolle Boskeun I tried and I never thought that could happen. Sickly sweet, lightly sour, little to no taste, thin oxidized body. Please god, stop the infection of beers. Foamy yellowish white head. Light pink to tangerine color. Moderately hazy.
2005 draught at Redbones. This is hard to believe, but the beer I was served on draught, was probably worse than the infected bottle. What is up with this beer????? Aroma, smells ultra funky, which is kind of cool, sweat, cow manure, moldy hay, stale hops, strong yeast. Hazy copper-pale gold pour, no head. Flavor of sickly strong alcohol, stale grain ethanol, spoiled lettuce, moldy fruit, I dont really know how to describe it. It’s just bad. Excessively watery body, with tons of alcohol sticking through. I took two sips and was done, but finished it anyways, so I didnt look lame at the bar. Gave me a stomach ache, thought I was going to throw up. I don’t like this beer. I give up.

On tap to a 3oz taster Cloudy yellowish orange with minimal head. Sour citrus and hoppy aroma with a touch of banana. Starts very hoppy and they last and last. A refreshing pale ale.

I have to think maybe I got a bad bottle. Pours a murky dirty water color with lots of floaties. Looks like water I just drained from a potted plant after a hard rain. Very thin head. Smells malty with a slight presence of citrus hops and a touch of vanilla. Flavors are caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, light toasted bread, slighty dry citrus finish. I’ve been wanting to try this one for a while and I must say this is a big letdown. Some HotD brews are low carbed (as this one is) but it’s easier to get away with it in a strong sipper. Not so much here. It’s short of drain pour but not by much and I make no promises I will finish it.

Bottle. Fruity, orange, sweet bready malt aroma. Hazy golden with a moderate off-white head. Orange peel bitterness, grass, and lightly sweet grainy malt flavor. Medium body, light carbonation. Slightly dry finish.

Mauvais casting.

The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of grass and bread in it, with a little bit of orange citrus thrown in. The flavor is similar, with grass and bread standing out. There is also some earthy and tea-like notes in the flavor, as well as some juicy orange notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours cloudy yellow white head, some spotty lacing. Interesting aroma... Floral hop, light citrus, a little funk, malty sweetness. Flavor is floral hop and sweet malt, also some herbal flavors. Medium body, light carbonation.

12oz bottle from brystmar (I think - if not let me know). A nice amber with a thin white head that fades quickly. Pleasant yeast with a citrus undertone, grass, light barnyard. Light initial sweetness that becomes bitter, very dry, low carbonation, moderate body, becomes quite bitter and dry at the end with a nice complexity that is completely different from the aroma and initial taste. A good beer.

Strange beer. Pours nearly headless unless you pour from 4 feet above the glass. Aroma of light florals and bready malt. Flavor is very light with a little spicy hop to it. Decent but not as good as a few others attempt at a session beer. Whole sizer weirdly almost flat.

On tap at the brewery. Pail cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is unfermented wort and some light hops. Flavor is straight up wort. Grain and sweet. Light hops. Not bad but a little weird.
