Aug 17, 2002 Amazing aroma and looks amazing in the glass -- a diffuse and luminous yellow golden. The aroma is roses and milk chocolate. I smelled this for about a minute and a half before I tasted it. Truly incredible. The taste was a big disappointment and not the nectar that the aroma promised. A single-note bitter (well maybe not *that* simple, this is HotD) with astringent and dull qualities. Interesting quicksilver feel.

May 25, 2002 AMAZING! How you get 16% abv, in the first place is beyond me. Keping it from tasting too much like alcohol is even more impressive. Thor is a ruddy amber color with a ripe banana aroma, which, as you might expect, has some mild alcohol in the background. The flavor is of bananas with a little alcohol mixed in -- think bananas foster, toned down. Sweet, but not oversweet, and not too much alcohol flavor. I have great respect for this beer.

May 23, 2002 Clear deep copper. Sweet aroma and flavor, but very well balanced -- does a great job of masking the alcohol.
