2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Grapefruit notes abundant. Looks great initially with a nice head and a dark, caramelly appearance. But, this beer is hardly a barleywine. The hop taste is way off and it lacks the intense notes I would expect in a barley wine. Almost sour like something funky happened during fermentation.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy dark red with a thin tan head. Nose is sweet malt and licorice with a substantial amount of alcohol shining through. Raisin notes and light touches of other dark fruit in their as well. Body is sugary sweet and syruppy, finishes long and bitter. Unfortunately the abundance in the nose doesnít materialize in the body and comes across much too sweet, and not a nice thick malty sweetness, a cloying sugary sweetness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This barley wine had a really sweet aroma and a tan head. The sweetness didnít stop at the aroma and continued with a sweet taste as well. I would have thought the ABV would be a little higher than 8.4, regardless the alcohol is concealed with the taste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
a reddish brown with a small heaad that didssipates quickly, malty with a slight hint of toffee, a bit on the thin side, but overall not to bad, probably needs to be a bit more mature
