Bottle in St Vincent. Old rating from circa 2001. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. And I really have got the t-shirt. Don’t usually enter old rating but since I’m unlikely to return to St Vincent any day soon, I’ll make an exception here. What about the beer? I think you know already. Just the same as pretty much any other Caribbean lager. Pale, thin and wet. Works OK ice cold to slake a thirst on location. Otherwise horrible. Needs to be drunk very fast to avoid warming up.

going back over some old beers, had this garbage a few years back in the carib....on a week stay in Bequia this was the beer of choice and bought them in cases that were like old milk carts. it was hot and needed beers and this was the only real choice. very light, crisp to a point but nothing more then that

Bottle on the balcony, 21/12/11. Aroma of cream and pine needles- really. Pours with a whipped, retreating head leaving dabs of lace. Highly papery, nibbled pine and raffia taste without obvious adjuncts. Some sliminess in the mouth; biscuit for dessert. I don’t like it but it does have that piney, gnawed pencil-like noble hop note, which is something.

New country tick! 12/21/11. 280mL bottle thanks to Jon! Slightly cloudy very light golden pour with basically no head. Enormously skunky aroma with undertones of caramel and corn chips. Sweet burnt caramel flavor with fusel alcohols, bready grains, green apples, and puke. Man, this is awful.

Harioun Lager 280mL green bottle, “birthday apr23 2010”. I had a few of these during my honeymoon in Petit St Vincent in June 2010.

Pours straw yellow, topped with a medium-sized white head. Aroma of grain, straw and other adjuncts. Flavor is grainy as well, with a pretty nondescript, unoffensive effect on the palate. It did seem a bit “skunky”. Finishes fairly dry, with mild hops come through at the end. Thin body with pretty active carbonation. It‘s refreshing enough, so I guess it achieves it‘s goal. Other than Heineken this was the only beer available, so I moved on to tropical drinks…

bottle. Poured clear straw coloured with a thin white head. The aroma is metallic and musty corn. Light body, smooth palate. Bready malt flavour, light and grainy. I suggest you drink it out of the bottle so you can’t smell.

bottle@Hoboken#1-thanks puzzl–pours a dissipating ? head and pale straw color. Aroma is skunk (no not like Eurolager, but the animal), wet cardboard, lime. Taste is average, which was a nice surprise after the aroma, grain, lime.

Pours yellow with a creamy white head. Smells of dry malt, creamed corn, apples, some perfume. Tastes of dry malt, light pepper, touches of caramel on the finish. Pretty inoffensive.

Bottle. Tastes like lemon, lime soda. Not even like Sprite, more like the generic store brand stuff. Not horrible either for what it is.

Bottle brought back by my mom. Clear as day, no head, very fizzy. Incredibly skunked aroma, muddy corn. Skunked hops flavor. Yuck.
