bottle from brickskeller. aroma is maple, nuts, caramel. is not terribly dark, for a stout. flavor is roast, fruit, finishes a little astringent, nutty.

Radekfest. Light black in color with some red. Aroma is slightly bitter with mellow coffee. Taste is light indeed when compared to most stouts. This stuff had a strange bitterness which seemed a bit sour. My new favorite Ethiopian brew.

Low carbonation ,creamy top , below brown nectar . Sweet, gentle aroma of diet coke. For stout sadly light and uneventful.

Dark brown w/ beige foam. Sweet, malty of molasses, caramel, & milk chocolate. Medium, somewhat water feel. Sweet malty flavour of molasses, caramel, & chocolate w/ some burnt notes.

Aroma has sweet malt, toffee, hazy brown, small toffee head. Flavour is a subtle choco/malt combination. Light bodied, sweet. Fair. Thanks Oakes for the new country!

Light mouthfeel, particularly for this style. Some Hershey chocolate syrup carmel malts and coffee roast for flavour. Quaffable. Radekfest 05 sample 34,

I realize it’s not the darkest of stouts, but it still didn’t look too bad. Medium brown, tan head. Lots of caramel in this one with some dryness in the mouthfeel. I’d drink it if I were in Ethiopia but there are plenty of better foreign stouts out there.

Thanks to Radek for this one. Super caramel nose. Slightly buttery caramel. Sweet malty cola finish.
