May 5, 2005 bottle from brickskeller. aroma is maple, nuts, caramel. is not terribly dark, for a stout. flavor is roast, fruit, finishes a little astringent, nutty.

Apr 25, 2005 Radekfest. Light black in color with some red. Aroma is slightly bitter with mellow coffee. Taste is light indeed when compared to most stouts. This stuff had a strange bitterness which seemed a bit sour. My new favorite Ethiopian brew.

Apr 6, 2005 Aroma has sweet malt, toffee, hazy brown, small toffee head. Flavour is a subtle choco/malt combination. Light bodied, sweet. Fair.

Apr 5, 2005 I realize it’s not the darkest of stouts, but it still didn’t look too bad. Medium brown, tan head. Lots of caramel in this one with some dryness in the mouthfeel. I’d drink it if I were in Ethiopia but there are plenty of better foreign stouts out there.
