2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Ungstrup (22906) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 24, 2010
Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a tan head - stout? not from the looks of it. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, and stored fruits. The flavor has notes of chocolate and dust. The body is light. All in all it is boring.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours an almost clear amber with a creamy off-white head. Sweet roast and nuts in the nose. Medium body, sweet burned caramel and a little roast. Very subdued bitterness - and very little Stout character. Drinkable though. 290111

Bottled. Clear roast red. Spicy licorice aroma. Sweet and grainy, heavily spicy. Light bodied and roasty with somewhat syrupy mouthfeel and lightly salty finish. An interesting beer, but a stout only by the name.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 oh6gdx (15510) - Vasa, FINLAND - FEB 5, 2011
Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Deep reddish amber colour with a mediumsized slightly off-white foamy head. Aroma is bready, sweet maltyness as well as some mild dark dry fruits, and mild alcoholic stinging notes. Flavour is being rather similar along with toffee and some sweetish grainy notes. Quite much too sweet, which makes it quite out of balance.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Oakes (9997) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 30, 2002
Dark brown colour. I’m not encouraged by the wet paper smell. Vaguely caramelly malts, thin body, plasticy finish. Where’s the roast at? Not much for a foreign stout either, more like a dark lager.
