Well made pils. Reasonably bitter - but not too grassy. An emphasis on full bodied drinkability. Decent carbonation with a nice, medium contential hop finish.

On tap at Hakone Brewery cafe/shop. Clear amber lager with a thin white head. Nose is barley grain malt, cereal, touch of lactic in their too. Taste is dry grassy, straw. Good flavoursome pilsener.

Bottle. Clear golden, small white head. Predominantly malty nose. Flavours display corn notes and are quite sweet. Good body, though. A boring lager that does the brewery no good in my eyes.

Clear light yellow color with a small to average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, fruity, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20100110]

Bottled. A slightly hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and a bit of perfume. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and a bit of citrus, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Thanks Theis for sharing.

33 cL plastic bottle, courtesy of Theis. Pours cloudy yellow with a small to no head. Aroma is mild fruity. Smooth fruity, light estery and light spiced flavoured. Bitter and light citric note. Bitter and dry finish with a mild fruity note.

Draught at "Hakone Brewpub" - in a plastic cup (ølbutikken style). Clear golden - white head. Sweetness, white bread, white sugar, grainy, hay, candy, fruity, a bit too sweet, but ok - clean.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2012 Draught at the brewery shop. Biscuity malt, nice hop flavor and bitterness. Good. Very fresh and tasty.

Grassy, malty, with a slightly dry grainy finish. Nothing outstanding, but ok for the style. At Yokohama GJBF 2007.
