argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA Aug 28, 2008 (33cl bottle, thanks kmweaver) Medium off-white head atop hazy light amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, alcohol, light corn. Taste is sweet, alcohol, some orange. Medium-full body. goldtwins (3734), Nesconset, New York, USA Aug 28, 2008 RBSG ’08: Thanks to Wetherel. Poured a lightly hazed gold color with an off-white head. The aroma was fruity with notes of apples and pears. Buttery but not like diacetyl. Malty flavor with some mild fruit notes. Silky soft and very warming. kmweaver (2015), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Aug 25, 2008 12oz bottle, courtesy of wetherel. Thanks, John! Pours a slightly hazy, golden-orange color; thin off-white head with patchy fine-bubbled lacing. Solid amounts of honey, sugars, and dried oranges in the aroma. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: solid carbonation; solid amounts of sugar, dried oranges, and basic maltiness upfront; basic, big, boozy, messy rendition; bland profile overall. Lengthy finish: crystallized sugar, dried orange peel, and candy sweetness; messy with some alcohol peeking through. yespr (6406), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 7, 2008 From bottle at Stone Bistro. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Sweet and mild spiced aroma. Same flavour with a joining caramel presence. Smooth and fruity into the far finish. WeeHeavySD (1720), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Aug 3, 2008 Bottle from Wetherel @ Stone RBSG. Pours gold with a bright white ring. Nose is very tart and alcoholic. Taste has lots of carbonation, very nice taste, totally different than the nose.
