Bottle from Yamaoka. Spicy aroma with Belgian yeast, dried fruit, caramel, chocolate, and port. Dark brown with orange tints and a low head. Spicy, strong, sweet flavor. Lors of caramel and dried fruit, licorice, cocoa, very bitter finish. Rather light in body for such a big, strong beer. A bit harsh at the finish, but it works. Rich and tasty.

Really faithful Belgian Dark. Nearly up there with some of the belgian Quals. Spicy, lively with lots of dark fruit flavours. Good body and very smooth. I imagine this could age really nicely. A good find at a sake shop that served us 35 year old sake!
