IslandHaole (1060) - Yokosuka-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken, - NOV 12, 2007
On tap @ Popeyes w/ TimE: A slightly hazy straw color with a ring of fine white bubbles for a head. Mild cloves, strong banana scent. Sweet with plenty of tropical fruit, not bad indeed!

Tap@Popeyes, Oct2009. Iight metallic nose. Cloudy yellow. Somewhat candyish. Sticky, medium to light body. A bit like soda, but not entirely unpleasant.

Draught at Popeye. Coudy yellow - white head. Wheaty, white sugar, orange, fruity, nice hoppy, citrus, yeasty. Watery body.

Draught at Ushi-Tora, Tokyo (as Hakusekikan Belgian White). Cloudy pale golden, small head. Restrained coriander aroma. Mid-sweet with short, rounded mouthfeel. All flavour seems to come from coriander and syrup. Fairly straightforward beer that works, but only just.

KyotoLefty (3760) - Kyoto, JAPAN - OCT 15, 2008
On tap at Wachi in Kyoto. This was called "Belgian White," but I guess it is the same beer. Possibly changed form the 2007 version. Very bright golden color, more like a pils than a wit. Low head. Rather faint aroma of wheat, spice, barley malt, and a bit of butter or cream. Creamy palate, buttery flavor, seems to have more barley malt than your usual wit. Hops also more noticeable. Neither overly spiced nor overly sweet, which is pleasant. Nicely made, though not mind-blowing.

Tap at Cheers. Cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is fairly fruity, oranges, some yeast, malts, spices. Flavor is proper for a wit, but a little restrained. Smooth body with a small finishing bite. Pretty good, but nothing spectacular.

TimE (2068) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 10, 2007
Hazy golden color. Very soapy nose, not as much orange or coriander as expected or other spices. Mouth is light and refreshing and its where I find some oranges. Still lacking the spice I want in this type of beer. Refreshing finish. Restrained (Is this really Hakusekiakan?), but far from bad.
