little blue bottle from a friend of a friend. Pours clear. Nose is sweet and such. Taste is sweet sugary and all in all not terrible, little alc burn indeed.

Nose has a lot of lot of melon with notes of pepper, musk, and sweet alcohol. starts fairly smooth with a firm mouthfeel and sweet with big green melon, pineapple, and peppery alcohol. Alcohol gets a touch rough towards the end and finishes with more melon, wood, alcohol, and tropical fruits

At the Zipps wine tasting, Oct 25 07. Clear sake, served cold. A bit oily, some light fruit, and just a hint of sweet sugar with alcohol. I haven’t had many sakes, but this is the most drinkable to date.

Sho-Une means soaring cloud. Pours near perfect clear. Aroma of floral candy fruit. Medium nectar weight. Flavors are very clean with a slight fruitiness. No musty earthy tones at all. The finish is long and dry. Overall: This is the best sake I’ve had to date. Very refined and well balanced all the while retaining it’s delicacy. I’d call this perfect.
