From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is roasted caramelish, light spiced and mild yeasty. Smooth toasted malty, sweet, caamelish and light yeasty spiced. Smooth caramelish finish. More a triple than a double.

(22oz bottle, thanks nuplastikk) Minimal beige head atop hazy garnet body. Aroma is moderately sweet, vinous, caramel, some cherry, alcohol. Taste is moderately sweet, vinous, caramel, light cherry, alcohol warming. Medium-full body, fairly sticky.

bhensonb (11389) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 22, 2008
Bomber from PC Market of Choice in Eugene, OR. Beautiful, clear, mahogany color with a multifinger beige head. Aroma is nutty, yeasty, and hinting of citrus zest. Medium body with smooth, creamy carbonation. Flavor is spice, roasted caramel, and a smidgeon of bitter. Finish is light candi, and it’s more sweet than bitter. Rather silky. It could have been different, but it’s damn good as is.

Dogbrick (8516) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 3, 2012
Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. This brew is a cloudy orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes slowly. Sticky sheet of lacing. Aroma of fruity yeast and malt. Medium body with a fruity character and flavors of dark malt, yeast and molasses. The finish is ripe fruit and yeast. Decent beer overall.

2010-07-03. Dark brown body, small creamy tan head fades. 3+ Strange aroma, sweet malt, rough alcohol, odd dry dusty malt. 5+ Flavour is mild sweet sugary malt, chased by a decent amount of alcohol, odd combination, dry finish. 6+ Average palate is lighter than expected. Not quite there. On tap at Hales, Seattle

Ughsmash (7175) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 23, 2009
Bomber. Poured rich brown with a short-ish lived cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweeter chocolates, plums, and caramel surrounded by spicy warmth.. the sweetness laid it on a bit too heavy and too fast.. toasty and strong, especially on the back. The flavor found primarily raisins and semi-sweet chocolate at the core.. some vanilla and molasses were laced through there as well.. spicy and hot again around the edges with earthy character.. boozy finish. Medium-bodied with prickly carbonation on the palate.. this wasn’t bad, but it lacked a certain element of smooth.

Bottle shared by nuplastikk: Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a spotty-lacing stringy off-white head. Aroma of toasty dark caramely malt with a touch of doughy yeasty esters and light fruits. Starts with good fullness and sweet caramel with some light oxidation and fruity complexity with a hint of brown sugar. Pretty well-balanced and enjoyable with decent authenticity.
