Hale’s Ales, with its line of “Cream Ales” was the first craft brewery in America to produce nitrogen-conditioned beers. Cream Ale has a soft texture, tasty malt and hop flavors, is nicely balanced and easy to drink. Its nitrogen conditioning produces a creamy head that is as fascinating to watch form as it is delightful to sip. 5.1% ABV 19 IBUs Hops: American Saaz Original Gravity: 12° Plato

[3/3/15] Draught at Hales Ales Brewery & Pub in Seattle. Clear pale golden. Grainy aroma with a bit of corn. Sweetish flavor, grainy, a bit corny, with a faint fruity hint and a slightly bitterish finish. Quite light-bodied.

Tap, brewery. Pours a clear pale straw yellow body with a creamy white nitro head that had long retention. The nose is nicely bready with some light fruitiness and maybe a touch of corn. The flavor is light and bready as expected, no corn or off notes at all. Light floral hops on the back end. Nice creamy mouthfeel with a touch of light fizz. Really nice Cream Ale, I love the nitro serving method for this beer.

5oz at brewpub. Beautiful nitro head from the nitro tap. Clear macro yellow color. The nitro head sticks to me lip. Really need to work past it to figure out what the beer tastes like. Very corny, macro tasting. Tastes like minerals and not malts (rice or corn or whatever). Long cheap malt liquor aftertaste. Sticky flavors won’t leave my palate. Really good for blending with the BA lmpy Stout.

On nitro at ABV Pub in Hillsboro, OR. Faint aroma of grass. Creamy head with huge amounts of lacing. Taste is subdued, grass, just a hint of something resembling a German hefeweisen, but only a hint. Easy to drink but too easy, really. Not my beer.

Nitro tap. Cloudy gold with thick white head. Smells of hay. Tastes of cream and faint grass with a mildly sweet faint hop spice finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and thin without being watery.

Tastes like flat cream soda with artificial flavors added. Voted worst beer of the night by five tasters. Take it back, please.

Draught at Hales Ales Brewery and Pub, nitro
Hazy blond color with creamy head. Very light lemony aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, but the flavor is severely reduced by the nitro, not much to say about it; low bitterness; the nitro also gives a metallic aftertaste.
Stop nitro!

Draught. Slowly clearing golden ale. White head. Sweetish malt aroma. Rather more bitterness in the flavour with a bit of straw.

Nitro pours clear yellow, finger thick white head. Smell plain, creamy. Taste smooth, straw on tail. Simple but good

Not very good. Pours an ugly light yellow, but with a super creamy white head. Does not smell or taste like too much though. Weird aftertaste. Had on tap it East Side Club Tavern in Olympia. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
