Very fun beer, easy drinkin boddington's style. Although has darker taste than boddie's. Yet falls short of being as good as wexfords. I love it for those days when u just want something creamy & light. Oh yeah, only to be had on draught.

A very smooth and rich Cream Ale. Nice head . Full hops flavor without over doing it. Very much like an English Pub Ale

This beer had a nice, creamy head, and was pale in color. It had a pleasant feel on the palate, and the flavor was mild and well balanced. It was a very enjoyable beer.

Hale’s focus is on British beer styles, and they are doing an outstanding job. Being the PNW, you will find plenty of hop accented brews, but I enjoy the fact that Hale’s has remained true to the British classics and have not be too heavy handed with the hops. That is not to say you won’t find some hop monsters at Hale’s, you surely will, but their British inspired ales remain true to form. I was really impressed with their full range of beer that I sampled, and was impressed with is their draught only Cream Ale. This beer is not styled after American cream ale(which is actually a lager), rather a the "Dublin" style cream/golden ale, you would find in Ireland, a la Thomas Caffery’s. Like that beer, and Guinness Stout, this beer is dispensed by nitro. It makes for a very smooth and creamy beer, perfect for a drinking session, or a beer to have with some good pub grub. This beer is brewed with pale, crystal, and malted wheat, then hopped with Cascades, Nugget, and Centennial hops grown locally in the Yakima Valley.
Hale’s Cream Ale pours to a beautiful, bright, pale golden color with a thick and creamy white head, and a soft carbonation. Like Guinness it is a joy to watch this beer cascade down the glass and finally settle down. A little patience is in order when drinking beer, but when it is ready, you are in for a real treat. The nose on this beer is fragrant with aromas of crisp pale malt, and hints of citrus hop aroma. The palate is soft on the tongue with good biscuity malt flavors, touches of ripe fruit, on a silky and creamy body. Hale’s Cream Ale finishes up with more malt flavor, then ends with a gentle hop bitterness that slightly linger.
Just a wonderful, fresh, delicious beer that is just so smooth and creamy from the nitro pour. This beer is very food friendly and would work well with a number of dishes on Hale’s menu. I enjoyed a pint with a delicious salmon salad sandwich and some seasoned fries. I don’t believe this beer is bottled, and it can only be found at the brewpub and in and around the Seattle area.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2003 A unique beer. Think of it as a pilzener gone nitro. Easy drinking, fellow hard core beer geeks may have a problem with a good light beer but this is a very good light beer

Nice beer to look at, unique nitro faucet pour, lovely cascading head. The beer is smooth, creamy, and plenty refreshing. Tried this at beer fest in MT and worked to get the Hales guys down to my fav bar. Spent the next six months enjoying pints for under $2, that's why it was my fav pub. Mild but surprising hop bite at finish. Nice beer. I'd love to see it in draught cans on East Coast in the future.

On tap at the brewpub 2/14/9. Pushed with nitrogen. Pours dark golden with a very creamy thick head. This simply has a great body and flavor. It is smooth and creamy. There’s not much aroma, but it does have a mild maltiness to the scent. Just a fantastic and enjoyable cream ale that is sent over the top by nitrogen dispensation.

Draft at Von’s Seattle. A nice Boddington’s clone. Creamy with a great head which looked like it might have been a legit pull. Smooth and arguably a touch non-distinct; drink for the texture and appearance.
