opaque orange, with 2cm of fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet, with apple esters, and a hint of spice. Taste has that, plus unexpected fruit and grass notes, with tropical notes into the finish. $5/22oz

Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange color with a thin head. Sweet sugary candy and fruit aroma. Some banana as well in the aroma and flavor. Smooth flavor and slightly creamy body to it. Candy sweet flavor in the finish. Tasty. I like it.

On tap at Hale’s, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals notes of Belgian yeast, candied sugar, a touch of acetone, and booze. Flavour is along the same lines, with candied sugar and Belgian yeast upfront, followed by slight acetic tones that aren’t too damaging but still noticeable to be detracting. Okay, but not my thing.

Draft - Sweet stone fruit and light grains. Cleanish gold with a decent white head. Sweet stone fruit, yeasty sweetness and esters. Too sweet and fruity, not my thing.

Sampler at the brewpub. Color is dark gold. Well controlled bubblegum/banana esters, baked fruits nose with sweet Belgian candy but light-moderate for the style. Flavor takes on a team element with Belgian crust and a small hint of herbal hops at the end. Relatively well cleaned out. Light finish, avoids many pitfalls for style. Sweeter but not boozy. Long herbal green, sweet candy finish. I am surprised I liked this a lot more than the other (few) raters. The difference may be because its on draft.

Bottle @ Jon’s place on the 4th. Pours a pretty clear golden orange appearance with a nice, lasting cream colored head. A little musty and cobweby nose with banana bread and herbal notes. Apple, pineapple, chewy bread flavor. A bit of tanginess. Not that sweet but the flavor is a little strange. Actually a bit of butter too.

22. Pours a murky burnished dark amber with a dense and creamy tan head that sticks around. Lots of lace. Tangy, musty, nitrogenous nose...not sweaty, but a little on the damp and old side. Creamy medium body with fizzy carb. Mid palate is a little nitrogen and carbonic bite, some stale orange peel, and mild cherry presence. They’re all over the road with this one.
