COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
From Hales Ales: "Mongoose IPA is decidedly different than Hales India Pale Ale. It has more of an aromatic hop character, which gives it a nice little bite. It is very full bodied, so after the first few sips to 'acclimate' the palate to the hops you will find a balance of malt and hops - a very satisfying ale."

Small beige head atop a clear amber body. Aroma is mild sweet, grapefruit, some pine and bread. Taste is pine and some grapefruit, no sweetness. Medium body. In the absence of some malty flavors, I need at least some sweetness to balance out the hops, and this beer just doesn’t have that.

Aroma of citrus and resin. Deep, but cloudy, apricot color. Bits afloat. A slight metallic tang, but transitions to grapefruit and hop. Flavor of citrus, malt and evergreen. Swishing brings forth chewy sweetness, balanced by the bitterness. Finish tends toward grapefruit fibre. Quite nice.
