Funknmilla (471), Absecon, New Jersey, USA Mar 27, 2008 Draft at Owl & Thistle pub....my first beer as a 30 year old......cloudy copper color, with not much head...a decent light lacing....mild floral aroma...watery citrus body with a bitter finish...just ok...seems unbalanced in the beer-water levels
JonR888710 (983), Cochabamba, Bolivia Jul 3, 2008 Pours a reddish gold. Medium sized head. Aroma is spicy hops, pine. Flavor is pretty good, with more of the asaid spicy hops atop a malty background. Nice beer, not great. Purchased this 12 oz bottle at Whole Foods in Falls Church, VA. HoppyGuy (72), USA Jun 29, 2008 Bottle. It’s probably a good thing I had two of these. The first one was naot nearly as good as the second one. The first one was flat and indistinct, and the second one was more lively. Pours a slightly hazy medium amber with a decent head (the first one had va ery small head). Floral/resin/hoppy ufront flavor, with a bitter bite. Slightly oily mouthfeel. The second one was definitely better than the first, but I’ll just stay away from it because I don’t know what the next one would be like. AdamGott (153), Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA May 28, 2008 light peppery fruity hops lead to a malty aftertaste - pine resin taste lingers after drinking - a very good blend - nothing is overdone and nothing outstanding but I come away satisfied uhclem (104), Loveland, Colorado, USA May 22, 2008 They probably named this Mongoose because of the dead one they found in the bottom of the vat. Skunky. Sparky27 (388), Phoenix, Arizona, USA May 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a two finger white head that dissipated quickly into just s constant top layer. Nose is citrus, malt and spice. Palate grapefruit and pine but the malt background tones the finish down quite a bit – just a touch of resin aftertaste. Medium mouth feel and spotty lacing. Much better than their Pale.
