2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Strong sweet subtle aroma, and LOTS of head. Maybe I got a different batch than Gusler, but my head is STILL an inch high, and it’s been about 4 minutes. Not very translucent, dark amber color, creamy froth on top. Somewhat thin in the maltiness department, but has a couple of conflicting flavors that are fairly decent, but get less paletable as the beer warms up. Make sure to keep this one fairly cold. A decent pale, not my favorite.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz can, gift by luttonm. Not sure if he thought the gift was him giving the can, or me taking the can off his hands. Either way, I got a beer in my hand, I’m happy. A golden, hazy pour with a full foam cloud cover head. Juicy and hoppy, bright aroma. Flavor is creamy, a bit juicy, solid hop profile. No real bitterness noticeable througout. Drinks easy. Always nice to see a beer that’s been around since years before I was, and still on the shelves today. A good beer to keep a few ice cold, and enjoy, while taking in some ball games. Seems fitting anyway.

Rating #1999 2015.09.27 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 101 – Draught at taproom/brewpub. Golden amber pour with a creamy white head that bubbles away quickly. Hops very fragrant with mild citrus in the aroma. Mouthfeel is creamy, medium carbonation, and bitter hops on the finish - but not overpowering, very balanced. Delicious.
