Tap. Pours a clear dark copper body with a small tight bubbled white head that faded to a thin film. Nice citrusy hops with some grapefruit and caramel malt. The flavor is lighter on the bitterness than expected, it tastes pretty citrusy with some grapefruit rind and a light piney note. Fairly sweet caramel malt base. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with fizzy carbonation, some slight hop stickiness on the back end. Overall, pretty decent, though not a standout.

Alright, it’s better than that NZ muck but still tastes of swimming pool water, air freshener and Halls Metholyptus. Cheeky looking can. Murky honey colour with fine lace and foam. Bouquet of battered chipshop sausage sprayed with peach air freshener, vomited Southern Comfort, spruce and bile. Soapy rosemary and Lockets aspects. Perfumed, sweet and boozy with zero hop character. Sorry, I’m not having it. Thinking man’s Special Brew.

Draft at Hale’s. Fairly orange pour, medium off-white head that left good lace. Real nicer burst of hops, citrus and pine, in the aroma. Very flavorful hop body without being too aggressively bitter.

Citrus and good dose of pine here. Pours golden with good head. Good balance, and good beer all around. Nice bitter finish with hay notes in aftertaste. Subtle and very well done.

Can in ABZ. It pours hazy golden amber with a medium white head. The nose is bitter - sweet, sticky, pine needles, resin, toffee, apricot and tinned peach. The taste is assertive bitterness upfront, pine needles, earth, resin, grassy, mild astringency, tinned peach, alcohol heat and cracked peppercorn with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. A touch rough around the edges. Not bad.

Can, pours orangey gold with a creamy white head. Strong hoppy aroma of pine, satsuma, grapefruit. Medium sweet caramel malts are balanced out with a drying, medium bitter finish, with a little bit of spice. Carbonation is soft and texture is creamy. Very good.
