4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours slightly hazy amber with nice white head. Intense hops, a little pine, mostly just bitter. Just enough malt sweetness to take the edge off. Stronger than it tastes, wonder why this isn’t billed as an imperial?

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ Taphouse Grill, Seattle. Clear light amber with an off white head. Aroma of pine, cat pee, citrus and light malt. Flavor is very bitter with some light malt for balance. Medium body with average carbonation and a long, dry, bitter finish. This is a very good, very bitter IPA, I like this a lot.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Roanoke. Pours dark orange with thin lacey head. Aroma is grapefruit hops and light malt. Taste is bitter piney floral hops with a well balanced caramel malt base. Doesn’t taste as strong as it is. Really just a solid IPA. Funny, I remember when this used to be considered a double IPA and was hard to come by - now this is frequently on tap and you rarely see Mongoose on tap any more. We’ll consider that an improvement.

Pours a golden hazy color unfiltered with a nice thick creamy white head and leaves a nice lacing. Smells a sweet citrusy herbal scent, with a little bit of piney grassy notes. Taste is citrus pineapple sweet little bit of pine and ends with some bitterness. Overall another great summer time ipa.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from the super duper IPA box I just got hit with. Another solid PNW offering here. Murky orange with big white head and lacing. Sweet orange flavor. Reminds me of those candy orange slices. Tasty. A little herbal and peppery aroma.

Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. Slightly cloudy orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, malt and pine. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, earthy malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is caramel malt up front with a hoppy aftertaste lingering. Above average overall.
