3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Fritz European Fry House in Bremerton, Washington, 16 ounces, served in shaker glass, $3.50 per pint.
I assume that Supergoose refers to this being a hopped-up version of Hale’s Mongoose IPA, which, as far as I can tell, appears to be true.
Color: Hazy orange core with a hazy yellow-orange aura, topped with a thin white head. Small dots and lines of lacing are left behind.
Nose: I smell, in this order: a can of pineapple chunks, apricot, and a whiff of citrus.
Palate: The flavors include bitter orange that borders on grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, and a hint of hay. The heavy bitterness lingers in the finish. The fruit sweetness is almost too much, but it actually complemented the dipping sauces for my fries rather well. The spiciness of the Spicy Curry Ketchup and Sweet Chili sauces toned down the sweetness of this ale and really let the hoppy bitterness shine through.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle thanks to Lizzie and Daren! Pours a clear gold with a n orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a sweet resinous pine with a good amount of sweet grains and a hint of butterscotch. Flavor has sweet grains, sweet citrus with a hint of butterscotch underlying.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Citrus with that standard rusty note and a bit of floral hop. Slightly sweet from the crystal. A good brew. Immensly drinkable.

Tap at brewery with commonmac and rosskyle and wildcard. Copper with medium white head. Hoppy aroma. Sweet and grapefruit. Very clean. Also pretty typical of this style. Decent.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Canned from LifeSource. Hazy amber with some orange highlights. Nose is somewhat pungent with some citric hop qualities. Quite sweet and fruity. Some grapefruit hoppiness. Haven’t had an IPA this sweet in awhile. Good and tasty. The sweetness stops just short of cloying. Pretty tasty.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Lasting thin white foamy head atop a deep brown orange coloured body. Nose of candied malt and toasted malt. Very sweet, cloying. It’s oddly on the cusp of a DIPA yet the malt is really overpowering and the hops are highly potent too. Not really getting into this beer. Tastes like a McMenamin brewpub beer. Purchased at The Penny Farthing in Oak Bay.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Unclear orange brown, mostly lasting firm off-white foam. Floral foresty hop aroma. Taste is bitter floral hop forward, some citrus and evergreen, lean backseat c-malts. Average carbonation, medium bodied, well hopped. Okay. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Poured from the tap. Clear orangey yellow with white head. Light citrusy and grassy hops, hint of biscuit malt, finishes medium dry with a bit of resin. Nice blend.
