3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Fritz European Fry House in Bremerton, Washington, 16 ounces, served in shaker glass, $3.50 per pint.
I assume that Supergoose refers to this being a hopped-up version of Hale’s Mongoose IPA, which, as far as I can tell, appears to be true.
Color: Hazy orange core with a hazy yellow-orange aura, topped with a thin white head. Small dots and lines of lacing are left behind.
Nose: I smell, in this order: a can of pineapple chunks, apricot, and a whiff of citrus.
Palate: The flavors include bitter orange that borders on grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, and a hint of hay. The heavy bitterness lingers in the finish. The fruit sweetness is almost too much, but it actually complemented the dipping sauces for my fries rather well. The spiciness of the Spicy Curry Ketchup and Sweet Chili sauces toned down the sweetness of this ale and really let the hoppy bitterness shine through.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
12 oz can from Uptown Market in Beaverton, OR. Hazy liquid with a rocky, short-lived head. Lots of floral hops and some sweet malt in the nose. Very pleasantly bitter mouthfeel. Fantastic balance between hop and malt flavors. Reminds me of a dusty and dank attic. Another near-perfect beer!

Draft at Seattle taproom at SEA. Pours a clear, copper color with a very thick head. Floral, hoppy aroma with a grapefruit finish. Smooth, tart flavor with a nice hop kick. Decent IPA but with the flavor had more kick.

Poured from can to glass. Golden hue with off white head that settled. Aroma is cereal, caramel, toffee, citrus, pine. Mouthfeel is great with a medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness followed by a hop bitterness that extends throughout. Overall this is a nice malty IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a finger and half of tight head on a cloudy medium straw colored body.
The aroma has pine needles and pineapple.
The taste starts with a sharp bitter note, rounded out by a good dose of malt and almost fruity sweetness and finishes with a long dry bitter note. Great profile.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
