3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
By virtue of the 4 I gave the oakshire watershed IPA for appearance, i am forced to give this beer the same rating as it looks exactly the same. please refer to my rating of the former to see what i thought of the appearance. aroma: caramel, toast, resin, earthy. taste: heavy sweet, medium bitter, light sour, light salty, no umami. i think the ratebeer taste suggestions could be a little more varied. i’m too far removed from rating to be able to identify flavors, not that i ever really was able to in the first place. body is the same as the last beer.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Supergoose pours with more head than I’ve come to expect from a 7.1% IPA, perhaps because of the higher malt content. Though that’s usually a turnoff to me, it balances out the plethora of hops pumped into this can of Heaven. From a smooth entry, you immediately get hit when a whollop of Bitter Hop that almost immediately gets calmed by the malt. Finishing neutral, you’re left demanding another sip to see if you can count the flavors as they flow over your taste buds. Excellent, albeit non-classical IPA.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Softly honeyed melon and citrus. Medium bodied, sticky malt, gentle melon and slow citrus. Gets a pithy sticky grapefruit syrup note through the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2016 Can from BottleDog Kings X/Clerkenwell, Thursday 17th March 2016 consumed on the train en route to Edinburgh in the company of Dad and Barry Friday 18th March 2016. Hazy gold, maybe more warm gold in colour with a white head. The aroma is pine with a touch of grapefruit backed up by some maltiness. Sweet maltiness in the mouth, the flavour is very much in the vein of many other American IPA?s but citrus and pine jostle for attention also. Like this. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

355 ml can (7% abv) @ Timo A. No date info.
Pours slightly hazy orange color with a small head. Resinous hops on the aroma, caramel, subtle chocolaty notes on the background, Flavor is a bit cardboard-y, malty and dry fruity, some resinous hops left, finishes bitter. Decent though a bit old brew.
