COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer was initially brewed as a collaboration by Kathleen Hale of Hale’s Ales, Jessica Husted and Reina Powers of Der Blokken Brewery. Belgian yeast blend, Saaz hops, 2-Row Pale Malt, Flaked Barley and Wheat Malt, and finally Tart Cherries make up this brew.

Trés Fem is a delicious, crisp, very drinkable ale that combines a smidgeon of tartness with a delicate cherry flavor, strongly reminiscent of a Belgian Kriek.

This is excellent. Cloudy copper with a soft, thin white head. Cherry and baking spice nose. Light to medium bodied with a mix of tart cherry and a hint of cinnamon. Long finish- very dry.

On tap: smells like cherries, very little foam, thin and mildly carbonated; sour cherry and spice - delicious. One of my Hale’s all-time favs. Much worse in the bottle.

Bomber. Pours hazy orange with a medium collapsing beige head. Aroma is strong in cherries, almonds. Taste is sour cherries; not mouth-puckering like a sour ale but definitely nice and tangy. Highly carbonated with a medium body. Not bad at all.

Rating at work. Boom. Doing illegal things. Eat a dick IT. Nose is of cherry, banana, spices, yeast, a little dough. Pours golden with a reddish brownish tint. Thin non lasting head. Flavors of cherry, phenolic yeast, banana, spice, dough. At times could be a little medicinal. Not necessarily bad. Good effort. Alcohol is hidden with the spicy yeast.

On tap at Biercafe / Belmont Station with mcberko, pours a translucnet orange gold with a thin white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, cherries and candied sugar. Flavour of candied sugar throughout, cherries, slightly sour, Belgian yeast, funk and floral nots. Palate is fruity and yeast-heavy. Light.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours amber gold with a fizzy/creamy near-white head. The aroma is moderately bready with a trace of maybe sour cherry. Medium minus body. Slightly spicy caramel with faint cherry traces. Well, maybe more than faint, but ya gotta dig for it. The impression is of slightly sweet malt with slightly sour cherry. Sort of. The yeast/spice tends to carry the fruit along. It leaves me uncertain. Does not finish dry.

Bottle:   Orangish, slight haze, moderate white head, fairly nice lacing.   Bright bready nose, very faint unripened cherry.   Soft floral and herbal notes as well.   Malty and mealy up front, bready, sweet, slightly sticky, with very very faint pie cherry like flavors.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Very slight tartness on the finish, a bit of dry fruitiness.   Not too reminiscent of a Belgian Kriek in my book.   American Strong Pale Ale with a touch of cherry.   Not bad, but I was expecting a bit more.

Bomber served in a tulip. Pours clear dark orange with a short head. Decent retention and lacing. Interesting aroma. Lt sweet, tart cherry, gingerbread, and yeasty funk. Medium sweet flavor full of yeast and malt. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture, and a short mid-sweet finish.
