10th October 2008. GABF. Made with toasted coconut. The sweetness of the coconut offsets the porter flavours well, especially in the dry finish.

Draught at Hales Ales Brewery and Pub
Dark brown color, near black, with compact head. Light aroma of roasted malt. Good body strength; soft mouthfeel; it has a moderate flavor of roasted malt and chocolate. Correct bitterness.
More Brown Ale than Porter, not enough round and chocolatey, but pleasant overall.

Full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and ticklish carbonation. Robust. Well-bittered. Chocolate and roasted nuts. Medium length, smooth, creamy finish. Kudos to Degarth for providing the bottle!
