2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from bitbucket - thanks! This one has a darker brown color with a medium head. Aroma has some pleasant chocolate and roast. Flavor has a stronger chocolate/roast thing going on but fell off a bit as it seemed a tad oxidized. Drinkable, but not all that well put together.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle - pours flat out of the bottle with no head; taste comes off a little too burnt at first, but fades into to decent porter with little distinction except for the local troll making a label appearance

Another one of those thin and metallic tasting beers that I feel couldn’t help but be better off the tap. Maybe someday will get the chance to re-rate but I never want to see this in the bottle again.

Cask @ Bardenay - Pours a thin brown with no head...aroma is toasty, a bit of sweet malt...flavour is roasted grain, a bit of char, clean enough, but just not that good...finish is a bit watery with a lingering bitterness...meh...

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from a 22 oz. Fairly thin sienna brown shade. Aroma of caramelized brown and white sugars, with hazelnut latte and other sweet nuts. Bland and average flavor is very minimal, though balanced with notes of lactose, dry walnut, diet cola acridity, and bitter chocolate. Thin in the mouth, distantly tangy with a strange bite. Light and underdone, though not outrightly offensive, it leaves almost everything to be desired. Thanks for sharing, Aaron!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep black this has a rich espresso/coffee flavor to it and is quite thick, even for a porter. Bitters come through on the taste.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at brew pub: Black color with a tan head. Roasted aromas and flavors are the word on this one. The feel wasnít what I was expecting, not as runny-oily as many porters. It is still a pretty good overall beer. My wife loved it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle from QFC. My ex-girlfriend actually modeled for this bottle! I hate that fucking troll, but I wish him the best. This has a nice opaque black body. It has a soft and wispy head. Wait...the head is gone. The head sits around the circumference of this beer. This porter looks pretty, pretty, pretty good. This has a heavy roast aroma accompanied by a nice soft smokiness. Touches of chocolate hit my nose. Somewhat of a milky flavor, with a roast, chocolate, and subtle smoke flavor that really makes this a stellar, and under-appreciated porter. Itís quite easy to drink, and has a long-lasting roast flavor that is quite delicious. The only thing that is keeping me from giving this a really high score is that milky flavor. Iíve never been a fan of that because it almost seems borderline infected with an off flavor like that. Overall, pretty good stuff from a brewery that, typically, underwhelms.

Bottle poured black with a nice thick brown head with a nice sheet of lacing that coats the inside of my favorite glass.
Aroma and flavor of bitter, roasty malts, chocolate, coffee.
moderately sweet with a thin/ medium body. not bad at all with a lightly bitter finish and a good mouthfeel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. bottle purchased at World Market in Newport News, VA. Beautiful black pour with creamy tan head. Aroma of floral hops and some roasted malts. Flavor is a bit to citrusy for a porter and really dominates over the coffee and smoke flavors that are faintly present in the background. The mouthfeel, however, is superb; thick and rich. Overall a decent porter. I feel that if the hops had been toned down a bit this could have been outstanding.
