COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If a troll requests a pint of porter, you’d better have a good, big one to offer. Troll Porter fits that bill. Black, round and complex, with mocha and chocolate overtones and a fine hop profile. Very tasty brew. 6.6% ABV 31 IBUs Malts: 2-Row Pale ~ Crystal 75L & 120L ~ Munich ~ Special Roast ~ Chocolate ~ Carafa III ~ Torrefied Wheat Hops: Apollo ~ East Kent Goldings Original Gravity: 16.5° Plato

Rating #2007- 2015.09.27 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 109 - Draught at Taproom. Had draught and nitro side by side. Opaque dark pour with a bubbly tan foam. Aroma is toffee, coffee, and dates. Mild-medium carbonation, medium bodied. Taste is quite complex, lots of roast malt character but tempered with cocoa vanilla sweetness.. Awesome brew.

Pours light for a porter, dark copper-brown. Sweet malt aroma, caramel / toffee, lighter on the chocolate and some roast. Nice rich body though, smooth and creamy.

Sadly see-through brownness. But, smells like delicious used chocolate coffee grounds. This would taste great as a hot beverage, like a chocolate tea. Well-roasted malt, perfect chocolate grains.

Bomber. Clear deep dark ruby hued copper, lasting creamy tan foam. Roasty chocolate malty aroma. Taste is light roasted chocolate malt, some dark fruity hints, faint herbal citric hop. Average carbonation, medium bodied, low hopped. Nice warmer on a cool damp evening. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

On nitro tap at Hale’s, pours a dark amber brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is very subtle, with light notes of toasted malt - not much else. Flavour is pleasant, with notes of cocoa and light toasted malt - light-to-medium sweetness. Smooth palate from the nitro, but not terribly refined. Okay.

Draft - Nitro - Dark roast and some chocolate. Deep brown with a rich creamy beige head. Light roast and chocolate notes. Creamy and nice mouthfeel, but pretty plane.
