brewshthereen (316), Oregon, USA Apr 11, 2005 Full dark brown pour, with a head that quickly disappears. Aroma brings fourth a feeling of being a barley wine. Dark fruits, raisins, plums and alcohol for flavors. Malty, but fades a bit at the end of the swallow. Still this is a nice american scotch ale.

Ibrew2or3 (1756), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Sep 1, 2008 On tap @ the brewpub. Pours clear deep garnet with light tan head and nice lacing. The aroma is a bit on the light side with notes of caramel, earthiness, a light amount of peat and dark fruity esters. The taste is very pleasing with an earthy to near peaty sensation followed by a hint of caramel candy and mild roasty malts. By midway notes of prunes, dates and ripe cherries become loud enough to be heard as the finish approaches. It ends leaning in the direction of dry. SuperDave70 (832), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 18, 2008 Clear dark reddish brown pour with a small ring of tan head. Light aroma of dark fruit, sweet smoky malt, and some dark bread. Flavor is along the same lines. Hints of caramel malt, raisins, spice and nuts. Medium bodied and a touch of spicy hops on the finish. Not bad at all. greenhorn1 (385), Eugene, Oregon, USA May 25, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours dark burgandy, no head, light carbonation, zero lacing. Sublte smoky malt and dark fruit aroma. Flavors of cherry, raisins, and a sweet finish. A bit thin for the style and somewhat one dimensional.
