3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Mora2000 (4042) - McKinney, Texas, USA - APR 9, 2012
Thanks to Pawola22 for sending this bottle my way.
The beer pours a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of wheat and orange citrus notes, with some additional floral notes which I assume are from the hibiscus. The flavor is more of the same. The floral and orange citrus notes go very well together, with the wheat backbone also adding a little flavor to the overall experience. The beer is very easy to drink. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bomber; dark reddish brown with fluffy light tan head fading slowly; aromas mix of creamy fruit, lemony wheat, white sugar and orange peels; really dig the nose as it pops with a fruity freshness; drinks with a surprising bitterness that works well with the wheat and fruity mix; oranges, lemon and creamed wheat; more sweet blood oranges than citrus; fruity flavors carry into the finish keeping this one tasty and easy to drink; yum

At Quenchers. Unusual aroma and flavor with this one at lot going on but complex may not be the right word. Not bad just different. Sweet but appropriately restrained. For a style I am not so big on I liked this one for it’s uniqueness. Serving: Bottle

Shared by emacgee. Thanks Ethan. Pours a deep plum tinted orange with a small white head. Nose is full of flowers, red fruits, citrus, and light grain. Flavor is more herbal, tea-like, and with an unpleasant bitter bite.

Thanks bauermj. Pours ruddy cloudy orange with one finger of off white head. Nose is very convoluted, some acetaldehyde. Floral notes with some orange and yeast. Astringent bite in the flavor with orange flesh and bready wheat over a mild caramelly sweetness. Biting palate and full bodied.

22oz bottle at Quenchers in Chicago. Pours a transparent, rosy amber with a clumpy, frothy white head. Nose is sweet, herbal, flowers, light honey. Flavor was sweet, flowers, herbal, inviting honey, a little citrus, a little malt. Soft, medium bodied finish that has a lingering herbaciiousness.
