Orange pour with watery head and lace. Resiny hops and caramel malt. Light caramel malt with a nice light resiny bitter. Medium bodied to watery but a very nice PA.

Growler. Seemed to be just a bit darker in color than daisy color, little more caramel looking. Great hop combination, super drinkable, lightly grainy, light biscuit sweetness, just very very refreshing, grassy and citusy.

Tried it a the day of the ales 2011 in chicago. It was the better of the two half acre offerings. I really enjoyed it and it made my top ten beers of the event.

enjoyed during 2011 RBWG pours dirty blond with a medium off white head. Aroma is big citrus hops and grassy malts. Flavor is the same the hops in this are very nice, not your average pale ale, bordering on IPA.

Growler thanks to Chris, drank from a Cigar City snifter... Pours a dark orange, hint of brown, clear. A light off white head rises about a finger, ok cap, no lacing... The aroma has a ton of citra and a hint of pine, light malt backbone... The taste is pretty good, but something that can get lost amount other beers, now wow factor. A lot of the citra hops are gone, what you get is more tropical fruits, some toffee and a light pint of finish. Doesnít have the dry feel or taste I was expecting. Drinkable but just blah. I must admit that I was very excited to get to the Hoppy Birthday so I just blew right through this. Good, not great, not in the league of HB or Daisy Cutter, however Iíd drink it again on tap.

Growler at RBWG, thanks! Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. A sweet caramel and earthy hop nose. The flavor is similar; sweet earthy malts, toast, caramel and light citrus. Lots of citrus in the finish. Nice.

Growler picked up by pantanap for me while I was out of town and delivered this last weekend. Thanks, Kan! Pours a fiery orange amber hue, dulled, with an offwhite almost yellowish head, moderate sized dies to a thick film, small with a good lacing. A good bit darker than Daisy Cutter.. Hmmmmm. Aromas are a nice bouquet of citrusy lemons, oranges, and grassy hops, fuzzy peach, tangerines, and grapefruit come in, a touch of tropical fruit. The nose is quite rich and hoppy, very fruity with pale malts, bread, biscuits coming in behind. Really like this nose, fresh and vibrant. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, some very fruity hops, grapefruit and peach, with some touches of mango, grass, and earth. A decent bitterness grows into a moderate dry and bitter feel, with pale malts, toasty bread, biscuits. Lighter bodied overall, a nice hop profile and flavor, lighter bodied really wins me over. Touches of gumball, tropical fruits, citrus, peach. Dry and soapy. Really nice, easily quaffable. The head really sticks around, surprising for a growler almost a week old. A great fruity hop forward APA, itís fairly complex in the hop profile, light and sessionable for the most part. Itís not quite among my favorites.. But itís really good and fresh. A perfect "Come on and get here, Spring" beer. Very happy with this, the hop profile grows, bitter and soapy, dryness grows on the palate. A bit better, freshness probably the key, than DC in my opinion. But, it gets a similar score.
