Bottle. Pours with a hazy golden hued body with a medium sized white head. Aromas are of hops, but not your usual citrus. There is some dill, lemony, citrusy (maybe some sorachi ace was used?). Some grainy notes. Flavors are lemony, grassy and citrusy. Almost a touch minty. Mostly hops, light alcohol, low malt. Medium bodied.

On tap. Pour is hazy pale orange with a small white head that fades almost instantly. Aroma is of citrus, orange peel, dank, mild sweetness. Flavor is much like the aroma but more well balanced, slight hop and fruit finish. Odd dank, cheese notes throughout.

22. Pours a hazy burnished medium amber with a loose and sudsy white head. Lots of eggy lace. Bright oily orange and mango nose, lots of pineapple and grapefruit too. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Toasty caramel and plenty of bright oily hops on the mid-palate--showing oranges, pineapple, and grapefruit. Fairly clean and brief finish.

Great offering from half acre - fresh bottle from brewery.
A: Gorgeous opaque bright orange/yellow - like grapefruit juice. Nice foamy white head, does not quite coat the glass entirely.
S: Really nice - very interesting blend of tropical hop nuances. Big sweet orange, mango and grapefruit, some pineapple astringency. Some malty breadiness. Not very powerful, but really nice.
T: Considering the tropical sweet aromatics it is surprisingly bitter, in a great way. Less complex than the nose - bitter grapefruit, orange zest, slight pine and resin.
P: Smooth, medium body.
O: Really surprised - one of the more interesting single IPA’s I’ve had. There isn’t any in there, but I sense galaxy hops, which is always a good thing.

Shared bomber with sherm1016....thanks! Pours a cloudy light orange / amber with nice head and lacing. Nose is a variety of fruit / hops. Nice citris after taste...enjoyable.

22oz bottle, purchased at Half Acre, split with dwm1034. Pours a hazy, bright orange color with a white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, mango, pineapple. Medium on he palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, bready, pineapple hope, some pine, with a light bitter finish. The bitterness is a little harsh, but otherwise a very nice IPA.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jredmond (4023) - Manhattan, New York, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Bottle courtesy of alan shared at franks February 2013 tasting. Pours a lightly hazy orange body with white head. Aroma is soft citrus fruits, oranges, nectarines, grapefruit and light pine. Mouthfeel is super soft and creamy with very muted flavors overall. Very sessionable, but lacking complexity due to the overarching blandness.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 novels (342) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 8, 2013
Got to admit I was underwhelmed by this. Not too much going on in the nose, rather simple, one note stuff. Basic IPA from a brewery that truly does know their stuff.
Pours a bit yellow, golden style. Hazy, cloudy, which clears. On the mouth is some citrus and mostly just carbonation but not too bitter. Decent, but utterly forgettable.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PhillyCraft (1971) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Bottle from Allen shared with some friends at Franks. Notes of wet wood, hops, grandmom, pine and vanilla. Taste is light but good hops, malts, moth ball. The malt really destroyed the nice hops in this one. Still better then most local ipas i get but not by much.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BeerSquare (114) - - FEB 25, 2013
Oh I like this one. . . the aroma is almost fruity, it so flowery, so it has a lot of that daisycutter gusto-- but with a sharper, cleaner flavor profile.
I love how it’s juicy tart, not just tart tart. I get strong strawberry / blueberry notes, basically a bunch competing light, acidic, tart flavors. Delicious.
I also love that it’s a full on IPA that is "only" 6.1%-- great work there making something incredibly flavorful that’s about 1-2.5% less abv than you might think on first sip.
