When I cracked the can open, I was attacked by lovely orange and flower notes. When settled in the glass a mid malty and piney aroma takes over. Taste is light citrus, pine with a crisp malt setting that turns into a lingering zesty fruit sensation. I guess this is how you brew a more or less perfect pale ale? Solid and super delish!

Pint can from my ’15 Secret Santa, thank you! Pours a hazy copper orange color and topped with a creamy beige head. Aromatic, a big hop aroma. Heavy citrus and florals. Taste is strong bitters and lightly sweet. Big time citrus and dirty floral hops. Really nice stuff.

Clear amber pour (bright copper). World class head volume, lacing and retention. Outstanding nose of citrus rind (orange and a bit of grapefruit), a dose of dank (that is in balance with the citrus), light pine and a solid malt backbone (mostly biscuit but subtle caramel notes also). As it warms, light tropical notes emerge (mango) and dank aspects fade a bit. Light body that is semi-smooth in texture. World class carbonation with a burst of effervescence in the middle that flows to a finely bubbled rollicking prickly finish. The flavor profile is outstanding. Quite flavorful for a pale ale, this one is hop flavor (exactly like the nose) centered. Rind with bits of pine lead then flow into an orange aspect as the middle sweetness arrives. Moderate bitterness is present that is well balanced with biscuit (toasted and grainy) and subtle caramel sweetness. Orange makes its strongest contribution as the finish approaches coupled with light mango. The finish is crisp and slightly dry. This dryness intensifies as the lingering rind/pine bitterness fades.

Can. Pours out a clear orangy copper. Has a citrus up front taste. A dry piney after taste. Very good beer

Tap at Craftheads. Clear copper with a finger of foam that lingers. Floral aromas with grass, pepper, sticks and lemon zest. Medium body with average carbonation. Bitter on the palate with more tastes of nature on the finish: sticks, bark and grass.

Aroma - floral, spiced Saaz, and dank hops. Appearance - amber body, clean and abundant nucleation. The head is white and about 3" and rocky. The settles slowly. Very little in the way of lacing. Taste - very dank, spicy, and floral hops. With a caramel malt backbone. Very well balanced. Very tasty. Palate - medium body, lively carbonation, and a nice adequately bitter finish and a bit dry. There is also some palate soaking from the nature of the beverage.

Poured from a 16 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a murky golden orange with a large, thick white head. The aroma is a big rush of hops, pine and citrus. The flavor is a perfect match to the aroma. Overall, this is an excellent ale and I highly recommend it.
