Thanks Zack for the can! Poured into a shotglass showing moderately filtered honey yellow with spare white foam.
The nose shows very light and subtle lemon and pineapple.
The palate is medium bodied and fully carbonated. Flavors of light lemon and grapefruit with a moderate bitterness on the finish. Not much else.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Can, poured into a tulip glass. A hazy amber color with a good amount of foamy head. The smell is all Hops as the citrus, floral, and pine notes hit you right away. The flavor has the same combination but in different strengths. The pine hits first in the flavor vs the citrus & floral notes in the nose. The feel is a little creamy which adds to the overall experience. This is an excellent Pale Ale. I’m glad I can get it so regularly.

Can. Hazy dark gold with a small, off-white head that lasts and laces. Aromas of grapefruit, orange, pine, toasted malt, biscuit, light caramel and floral notes. Flavor is the same. Medium bodied, smooth with a dry end.

Took a long time to decide what to get at Malloy’s, but finally settled on Half Acre’s Daisy Cutter Pale Ale after seeing that the 3 Floyd’s Alpha King was almost three months old. Had high hopes for this one.
Poured a light amber hazy color with four fingers of rocky, creamy white head. Lots of bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass, looking like a snow globe. Looked pulpy underneath. World-class lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Citra, floral, Cascade, resin, pine, lime, reminding me slightly to Sixpoint’s Resin. Also go tangerine, lemon zest and sugary nectarine. Hard to not think of this as an IPA on the smell. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste was not nearly as good as the nose, getting tangerine, Citra, bitter citrus rind, orange blossom, sugary floral, light resin, citrus zest, lemon, lime and watery pine. (Taste - 3.75)
Light body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Abrupt, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was good, but not great. I think I overrated it a smidgeon. (Overall - 4.00)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught pint at The Rock in Beloit, WI, August 29th. Clear pale amber verging on gold, with a thickish lasting creamy head...nose is faint lemon-piney, grows slightly more distinct with warmth to include a vague herbal character (thyme, rosemary)....barely a hint of sweetness throughout, very dry with a strong citric acidity throughout, woody, slightly resinous hops dominating the whole taste...slightly watery but decent enough body, moderate to strong carbonation. A disappointment given it’s reputation for sure; I didn’t actually even finish it, not that it was that bad, but what was the point? The Surly Todd I had before this was too sweet, this was too dry, I guess like Goldilocks I should have had a third beer that was "just right" but alas didn’t have the time.

Draft at Good Beer. Good pale ale. Fresh grains. Some pleasant sweetness in the aroma, and a little acidity. Not especially exciting but could be a good session brew.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
16 oz can poured at home to a can glass. Glass seems half the size of the tall boy can, but it’s been proven. They are pint glasses. Amazing. Thanks to luttonm for gifting this can. Pours dense cloudy orange color with a mountain of cone foam head. Hop centered aroma, with a pleasant invitation. Mild sweet malt, juicy hops, cool, low bitter finish. With the name and illustrations, I expected a total floral bomb going on here, but it’s not the headliner here. I’d guess more of an orange peel soft bitter over a floral bitter. All adds up to be a refreshing pale, that rivals some of the hop heavy delicious pales here in the NW. If accessible, I would totally get on board with this one. Very nice beer here.
