Had a few pints of this on tap at the Bad Apple in Chicago. I was really not expecting much out of this APA, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Came out in a tulip glass and had a nice light orange color with a good amount of carbonation and a one finger width white head. The aroma was very pleasant for an APA... it consisted of fresh hops, flowers, some light pine and some very light citrus hints. The taste is about the same with a good amount of fresh hops and floral coming out. It also left a pleasant bitterness in the back of my mouth. Extremely easy to drink and very enjoyable on a hot summer day. Impressive for a beer that I was not expecting much from...

From a fresh can to a pint glass. Appearance-Pours a hazy orange gold with an inch of off white head that leaves nice lacing. Looks perfect sitting in this glass. Aroma-Right off the bat I smelled tropical fruits as I poured. Pineapple, mango, and caramel are the most dominant aromas. There is a bit of bread and a slight sharpness as well. Taste-Big juicy tropical fruit flavors. Basically the same as the nose. There is a lot of citrus here as well, especially a flavor that I can only describe as grapefruit with sugar on it. The caramel and bread flavors are there as well, just enough to balance, yet still subtle. Palate-The beer is sticky and refreshing. It coats the inside of your mouth and leaves you wanting more. I can drink these all day long on a hot summer day. Overall-This is a great pale ale. If you want something more citrus than Sierra Nevada, but not a fruit bomb like Zombie Dust, this is a great choice. It is low alcohol and easy to drink down.

Solid pale with aromatic hops and a good amount of floral notes. Not a ton of citrus but not super resin heavy. Had some 3 Floyds earlier that is making me a bit biased (I liked that better) but this is still good

Location: Draft at State and Lake, 6/24/14, Rating #3737

Aroma: This one has a nice, clean, hoppy aroma, citrus, and a bit of caramel
Appearance: This one pours a gold-orange color, with an off-white head and decent lace
Flavor: It has a medium bitter hop flavor, with some balancing malts to it
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with a clean and easy drinking feel
Overall Impression: This one seems to be all over Chicago, and for good reason, it is a nice, easy drinking, solidly hopped, APA. I can see why this would be popular.

Draft at Binny’s in Chicago - a decent apa, but nothing that I think would stand out in a crowd or a blind tasting - hazy orange - aroma ajd flavor of lightly biscuity malt and moderately dank, citric hops - there’s not much else to say, really - solid, drinkable, clean, but nothing amazing.

Can from Kevin. Thanks! Pours golden with just a hint of haze and. One finger white head. Nice grassy hop aroma, pale malts, some light honey sweetness. Flavor follows with lots of grassiness and hay, dry, very light malt sweetness, maybe a bit of citrus. Very light bodied, goes down super easy with a dry finish and lots of carbonation. Good stuff. Wish I could get this fresh all the time. Must be great to have out on the lakes.

Can split at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to LKS, 12/06/14. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white covering that retains well. Nose is juicy hops, pine, bitter grapefruit, citric sherbets, apricot, mandarin, straw. Taste comprises light floral hop notes, citric sherbets, apricot, mandaring, pine jacket. Medium bodied, perhaps a touch thin, semi drying close with grassy hop bitterness. Solid APA - one I could guzzle all day!
