4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber courtesy of Pawola. Pours a full bodied orange with some mahogany highlights and a soft white head. Wonderful, incredibly fresh aroma of a ton of orange citrus, some fresh cut grass, cereal like grains, and some grapefruit behind all that for a little extra citrus treat. A big body for a DIPA, this beer is lacking a sticky, resinous hop profile in a good way. Thereís a lot of citrus presence while still maintaining a really good balance with the grainy malt profile and some cool floral notes mid palate which round out into a soft, clean finish. Hoppy, yet not sticky or very bitter. Fruity, floral, and all around wonderful.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared by mtjoseph, and sent via pawola22. I absolutely love half acre ipa and dipa offering, so Iím extremely excited to try this on. Hazy, caramel, orange, with a small frothy white head. Citrus in the aroma with orange, some lemon, and tropical fruit notes as well. Really nice. Taste is a mix of citrus like grapefruit, some pine, caramel malt, with grapefruit sticking around to give this a lightly bitter finish. Really nice. Maybe a notch below some of the other offerings as far as dipas go for HA, but this is still damn good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From notes. First reviewed 7/16/2011. Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a tulip.
Double Daisy has a very hazy orange tangerine color with a light pink tint. Some particulate matter floating around. A fluffy white cap leaves a little lace and fades to a ring.
The aroma is definitely still hop forward, right now it is more pine than anything. Some citrus and tangerine as well, with sweet pale malt in the back.
Each sip starts with a quick burst of sweetness from the pale malt. Sticky pine, some spruce and spiciness, and a little bit of grapefruit and tangerine citrus hoppiness to go with a general bitterness. The finish has a lot of alcohol.
The mouthfeel is a little bit grainy, although smooth on the back end. Creamy carbonation, a little boozy. Medium to full body.
This is pretty good overall, but compared to some other DIPAís, it just doesnít stack up. I have heard the previous batch was better. Looking forward to trying it again.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle picked up at the brewery. Pours a mostly cloudy, golden-orange colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is fresh, bitter pineapples and grapefruits with grass and pine. A good amount of florals, some lemon, and a pale, grainy cereal malt backing with a touch of toast. Flavor is similar. Citrusy and grassy up front with bitter grapefruits sticking out more than the pineapples and lemons. Juicy and resiny with florals and some pines from the hops as well. Pale, grainy cereal malt backing allows the hops to clearly shine before they completely dry this out with a medium-high, mouth parching, grassy, slightly resiny and piney bitterness before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Light body with a moderate carbonation. Overall, a very easy drinking DIPA. Lots of fresh, citrusy hops with a firm bitterness that gets tongue-scraping dry, which I wasnít the biggest fan of palate-wise. Despite that, a very pleasant smelling and tasting beer with a pale, cereal grain malt backing that I like so much in the regular Daisy Cutter and allows the hops to shine. Solid beer.

3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma wore off quickly after pouring, but initial aroma let you know this was a strong IPA. Two fingers of head with medium/heavy lacing. Lots of pine, resin, and hops with each sip. A nice amount of bitterness. It really smacks you in the face at the beginning of each sip but wears off somewhat fast. Thick beer that you could almost bite.
Overall, great beer and great brewery. There are better DIPAís out there, but this ranks right up there with the best.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
fresh Bomber drank during the Oscars. Aroma, very flora, this beers hops pops into your nose!, color, amber hue, the head is very lively!, keeps growing, taste, a banquet of flora hops, throughout, smooth bitterless backend. Overall an excellent beer, but still prefer their Galactica Double Daisy Cutter to this.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2013 A: Hazy straw-yellow body with a medium size frothy white head. Slight soap scum lacing left on the glass.
S: A huge blast of grapefruit and citrus. Just a hint of pine and a little underbelly of malt.
T: Bitter grapefruit, lemon and resin. The flavor is overshadowed by the bitterness which leaves a slightly off impression... similar to my impression of SheWolf.
M: Moderate weight body, smooth creaminess upfront followed by a strong bitter finish.
O: A solid dIPA, however, I think the bitterness overshadows any underlying complexity that should shine through in the flavor profile.

Orange pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is pineapple, pine resin and toasted malts. Flavor follows suite but, I have to say Galactic Daisy Cutter punched this version in the balls.
