COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Daisy Cutter is a monster version of the original Daisy Cutter Pale Ale. A heftier grain bill amps up the weight and double dry hopping insures there’s enough hops to recede your gums.

A specialty brew. Grab it when you see it. 8% ABV

Serving type - bottle, poured into tulip glass Aroma - citrus, lemon, grapefruit Appearance - hazy orange, peach head This is a very drinkable beer. I think it hides the booze very well. It has somewhat of a tropical feel to it, with a little bit of pine. A nice example of a DIPA

Sampled at DLD 2014. It poured a hazy orange color with a small white head. The aroma was of pineapple, piney resinous hops and some dry earthy notes. The taste was very earthy and dirty upfront, some dry piney hops, caramel malts and earthy dry hops. Nice.

Tap at EBF. Citrus-dominated, maltier DIPA that really says "midwest DIPA" to me. A very solid beer.

Received in a trade. Love the label. Great double IPA. Malty, full bodied, and balanced. Sweeter style with juicy citrusy hops. Not too complex or unique to set it apart from others in the class, just good stuff.

Bottle thanks to Nick. Pours a clear orange with medium frothy white head. The aroma is nice pine and floral hop, grapefruit. Medium mouthfeel with nice sweet fruit hop and light bitter finish. Very nice.

Latest bottle and served in my HA snifter: I will just say this... Juicy, dank, resiny, astringent, boozy... yep it completely what you would expect from this beer. I love it... but I would gladly just drink regular Daisy Cutter danke.

(it is just restrained enough on the dankness I can enjoy it for that is a deal breaker if overloaded)

Bottle shared thanks to Ellen and charule. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Fruity citrus hop notes, mango. Taste is on the bitter side and slightly dry. Good DIPA though.

Échantillonné du Extreme beer fest 2014: Bombe florale avec des fruits peu sucrés, belle amertume rondelette pour dissiper sa robe collante.

A: Pours a hazy dark orange color with one inch of white head. Nice lacing that sticks to the glass. S: Big bready aroma with citrus pine with some strawberry and candied fruits. Some floral notes as well, appealing aroma but doesn’t punch you in the face. T: Big bready hit on the front end as well. Then on the back end has a bitterness that lingers with strawberry, orange, grapefruit and some mild pine. M: Medium chewy body with sturdy carbonation. Semi harsh bitterness and nice and dry on the finish. Nicely attenuated. O: Overall I really enjoyed this beer and love the dry finish. Was hoping for more and find it to be a little over-hyped in my opinion but not bad. I would drink again but not fight to get it as well.
