Golden orange body, large fluffy white head, soapy lacing. Big pine and resinous hops with some underlying tropical fruits. Medium bodied, a bit sticky and sweet, can feel the ABV, assertive bitterness.

On tap at local 44, pours hazy copper with medium to large off white head. Tiny bubbles and plenty of lacing. Aromas and flavor of heavy ass pine, grapefruit juice, grass and lemons. Finishes with a huge hop bite and plenty of bitterness. Excellent use of resinous hops, only complaint is it might be a little hot. No double galaxy, but its damn fine.

On tap at the source. Pours a golden orange with a white head leaving some nice lacing. Aroma has citrus and sweet fruits, with pine/grass and some caramel. Taste is of sweet grasses and tropical fruits with a solid malt bill, but becomes strongly bitter through the glass. A nice one!

22oz bottle, courtesy of Bryan. Thanks! Split with dwm1034. Pours a crystal clear, copper amber color with a thin white head that fades quickly leaving a little lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy, green, pine, pineapple. Medium on the palate with soft, smooth carbonation. Flavor is sweet, hay, some caramel malt, grassy, pine hops, with a sweet, caramel malt finish. Very nice.

Shared bomber with SHERM1016. Wonderfully hoppy nose and initial taste / bite. Grapefruit and pine...cypress. Great bitter finish. Very tasty...would be great to have as a regular brew, but also special as a periodic brewing.

Draft at source. Pine and a touch of cirtius. West coast style. Similar to the alpine brews. Smooth bitter finish. Damn good stuff wish it was a regular.

Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike! The beer is hazy and dark yellow hued, with a quarter inch of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. The aroma is the best aspect of this beer, with a heavy dose of Galaxy hops. The flavor offers some grapefruit and hops, with additional notes of alcohol and tropical fruit. The feel is relatively thick on the palate. A good brew, though the aroma led me to believe it would be better. Alcohol could be disguised better. A good DIPA. Poured from a bomber into a tasting cup. A: Pours a dark orange with dark straw hues around the edges. Fluffy off-white head with sticky pillows of lace following down the cup. S: Great fruitiness up front, some pears and apples, with a floral sweetness following that. This smell really just pops. T: The taste is also great. Light sweet fruits at the front followed by a light malty middle that brings it down then finally a piney bitter finish that really rounds it out. M: Medium bodied. Great carbonation with a very smooth swallow. Just glides down the throat and leaves a resin bitterness down the tongue and throat. O: This was great. The taste hit every note you would want to feel and it was incredibly drinkable. Now I must quest for this on draft. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-05-2011
