Heyoka is a western charged firecracker. We conjured the classics in Chinook and Amarillo then laid them on a bed of pale malt. This India Pale Ale shoots straight to the bitter edge before falling into a mellow haze. Deep gold, 7% ABV and ready to travel into the distance. The Heyoka resides in the opposite and is said to use the wind as sticks to beat the drum of thunder.

Pour out of 16 oz can, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of pineapple, grapefruit, orange, some mango into nice floral, herbal hops, some slight grass with a hint of caramel. Taste was bitter earth, grass, and herbs into sweet orange, grapefruit, and mango, slight white fruits, some caramel finishing bitter. Nicely done.

Clear golden orange in color with white foamy head... Aroma of dank citrus and pine hops, notes of mango and tropical fruits, sweet caramel malts... Flavor is initially citrus and sweet caramel malts, gives way to dank spicy and pine hop bitterness on palate... Solid ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits, and lemon. It’s a hazy golden-orange with a one finger white head that fades to a thick film outlined by a thicker ring. The flavor starts with moderate citrus and lighter tropical fruits. The finish moderate grapefruit, light-moderate dank notes, light lemon peel, and florals. It’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.

Tap at Half Acre. Clear yellow to light gold pour. Soapy white head. Nice dank aroma with a bit of pine. Lower malt taste. Not quite the depth as the Space IPA for me.

A generously hopped up IPA with pronounced citrus notes underpinned with a honey like sweetness with sweet malts. The bitterness really comes in on the back end. A very well made beer from Half Acre, a consistent brewery with plenty of ’go-to’ options

Can. Pours a cloudy amber color with a nice thick, fluffy head. Solid, heavy hop aroma - citrus and tropical fruit. Medium mouthfeel. Smooth, not overly hop bitty, malty. Very nice and drinkable.

on draft at brewery, your standard ipa. A little old school but very nicely pulled off. HEavy sweetness and heavy bitterness.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a rainy dark October weeknight, a sign of the crappy weather to come. This stuff is fantastic though! Appearance is a slightly cloudy gold with a rich frothy white head. Aroma is ripe with grapefruit, pineapple, light malt, smells delicious. Taste is equally delicious, goes down with a light bitterness and fantastic, nice tropical fruit notes, finish is more pine, really well done.
