COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Half Acre Lager, the first release by Half Acre Beer Company is brewed using only water, hops, barley and yeast, making sure to respect the integrity of the brewing process and the purity of its ingredients. We chose to balance a rich malt base with a livlier hop content, encouraging a natural, vibrant taste and smell while maintaining the beer’s full body and cloudy, amber appearance. Half Acre Lager is suitable to pair with a range of cuisines and experiences during the season of your choice.

Pours dark gold(ish) with decent size head. Aroma of slight citrus of with a lot of malt backing. Clean and easy to drink, but nothing amazing for me.

a very session-able especially because it is a bit thin and light. Pours an orangish, red, brown. Taste is of subtle malts and hops.

Thanks to Alex to bringing this retired beer to enable my ticking...12oz bottle into my Rochefort glass...A nice dark gold with two fingers of white head, ok retention, no lacing. An above average looking lager...Aroma is pretty malty and lacking in skunk which is a big plus for an American lager. Malty toffee and caramel mostly, tart apple, only a little hops on the back...Taste is pretty decent again pretty malty, coffee, corn on the back, some tea in the middle, no skunk again nice, a light bitter finish. Some sugar in the middle, this reminds of a homebrew in taste and quality...Light feel distracts but this is drinkable. An above average lager, don’t really care that is being retired because despite being drinkable this isn’t something that I would get to have arond the house, at a bar maybe.

Rather full flavored and full bodied for a lager. Nice stuff. Serving: Bottle

Nice lager, does what you want it too refreshing and easy drinking but still all the flavor comes through nice malt and grassy hops, would be a great summer session

12 ounce bottle that my buddy gave me from Binny’s in the south loop in Chicago. I usually do not care for lagers because of their lack of complexity but this one was pretty good. Pours a nice light orange color with a one finger width white bubbly head. The aroma is very fresh... light hops an perhaps some faint pine. Very pleasant for a lager in my opinion as there was no skunkiness. The taste is also fairly bland but decent. It consists of light hops and malt bitterness. Overall, a very good lager. I still do not care for the style that much though...

Draft @ Half Acre Brewey, Chicago, IL. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy aroma. Slightly sweetish fruity malty grainy flavor with some weak hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty grainy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Pours a nice orange yellow, crystal clear w/ a foamy head of evenly sized small bubbles that leaves behind big blotches of lace. The nose is nice enough. It’s bready, a little hoppy w/ a light tartness. Flavor is mild, lightly malty w/ some earthy bitterness in the finish. Well balanced but I would not say this is entirely devoid of off flavors even though none of them are distracting (slightly metallic, overly tart). This is a nice attempt at a good light lager beer but could definitely use some fine tuning.

Bottle. Pour is clear light copper with a smallish white head. Aroma is floral hop, light (but rich) malt character, and light bread. Large bubbles slowly but constantly form and rise of the bottom. Flavor is also floral hop, light caramel malt, and a yeasty burst in the middle. Finish is crisp malt and hop.
