Brought to life using a lager yeast strain, this beer is a sensory pounder. Ignoring the idea of a traditional lager balance, Guest Lager hops the line and intentionally scales the flavors tied to the ale spectrum. This 8% ABV style bender wrangles an impressive canon of flavor into one place. Did we mention hops? This particular lager hosts enough Nelson Sauvin & Falconer’s Flight to soothe any weary traveler.

Purchased at the Half Acre tap room in 4 pack form, enjoyed all throughout the 4th of July at various parties. This stuff is pretty great for the style. Appearance is a lightly cloudy, slightly dark gold with a rich and frothy white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is rich in lager yeast with a great hop profile and a bit of hay/caramel malt, smell is fantastic. Taste goes down with a light burn, it does taste like a higher ABV lager, moderate bitterness, has an interesting tropical fruit profile, it’s a great brew but not the best "session" beer, definitely fills you up after more than 1-2. Still great stuff though.

Love this brew, it combines the dry lager profile I crave and mixes it up with the thicker IPA styles I....also crave, at least in the summer. Looks like a slightly darker filtered lager, smells more citrusy than piney. Quite sweet, so one pint is my limit per session. But it’s great as one of several other lighter beers in an afternoon. I wish they made this all year, I would always have a can in the fridge, this would be great in winter, too.

Can from Mikkeller webshop. Pours bright orange with a thick white cap on top. Nose is loaded with tropical fruits - massive orange and passionfruit over the top of familiar lager yeast. Taste is true to a well rounded lager and then the hops hit you - massive passionfruit, pineapple and orange. Very juicy and drinks a treat. So good

Can. Pours in hazy pale body with high to medium frosty head, good retention. Aroma has pretty citrus fruity aroma, mango, floral, realy nice. Taste has high fruity bitterness, well balanced low to medium sweetness, malty and honey. Light caramel after taste. This is not a lager, but it’s really tasty. Amazing balance and fruity basket aroma. Body is full, medium carbonation. Good drinkability, if you just think about how the fermentation temps are low.

An aggressive take on the pale lager. Great citrus hop character though its got some honey maltiness that balances the hop out.

Can from Mikkeller Webshop. Clear, golden body, with a medium, creamy, white head, that leaves rings of lacing. Great, fresh, fruity aroma of citrus, tangerine, lemongrass, passion fruit, lychee, grass, candy. Taste is also very fruity, with about the same aromas. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, carbonation is moderate and it finishes bitter, fruity, also sweet and a bit malty and pretty alcohol warming. Tasty stuff! If I didn’t know it, I propably wouldn’t be sure if this is a lager or an ale, as this is fruity and smooth like an American Pale Ale. Quaffable and refreshing, despite the high ABV and really pushing the envelope regarding the Lager style!

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. High creamy and lasting white head. Hazy yellow body. Soapy potatopeel aroma. Grass fruity dry flavor with a good deel of hops bitterness. Low carbonation and a long finish. Surprisingly good.
