Amber brown with white head...mild lacing. Caramel, mild roast, mild citrus, and fruit aroma notes. Medium bodied, flavor like aroma, decent malt / hops balance, medium bitter lingering finish, and tongue tingling carbonation dry zing.

This one was on tap at Harry Carayís Tavern on Navy Pier in Chicago. It poured brown as expected with a good long lasting beige head. It definitely started out with a rich caramel malt with some nuts and chocolate notes. The hops were of a medium herbal nature and balanced nicely. I could drink a lot of these in a session.

16oz can shared by Brian. Unfiltered amber-brown. Caramel, malty aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth and sessionable. Nice mix of malt tastes, from Amber to Nut Brown. Lots of toffee. Nails the style, well done.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy brownish red pour with a fluffy tan head, good retention. Aroma is nutty, bread dough, mostly malt & yeast on the aroma. Body is medium, soft carbonation, low alcohol warmth. Starts off sweet and slowly leads to a bittersweet, slightly oily finish. Decent.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Fresh can from the brewery. This was really tasty but really missed the mark for a true brown ale. It seemed very strong on the hops and really missing on the sweeter malt. Good but maybe a stylistic miss.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a pretty red ruby with big head and copious lacing. Aroma is dominated by malt. Getting a hint of yeast also. Taste is a bit sour and bitter, with increasingly sharp bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium. A different style than Iím used to-- quite refreshing, even though flavor profile is not complex.

Can from an awesome BA trader - thanks! Pours a clear medium brown with a froth fo tan foam that quickly fades out. Aroma is roasted malt, dry nuts, and even a very subtle smoke on the finish. Taste is simple roasted malt with a slight touch of sweetness in the finish. Easy drinker and tasty enough on a hot Saturday afternoon.
