Aromas of toasted malts, toffee, nuts, and touch of hops. Flavors of toffee, toasted malt, nuts, some cereal. Mouthfeel is a little chewy. Appropriate carbonation. A solid ESB.

Pours brown with a reddish-orange hue. Aroma is faint with malts, dark fruit, coffee, and chocolate. Taste is better...carmel malts and bread. Very drinkable.

On tap at Half Acre, Brown pour with some red, off white head. Light Aroma of malt and nuts, taste is some malt and a bit of coffee/chocolate.

Can from Oak Tree, A nice brown, with a little sour finish. Above average mouthfeel. Light brown colour, nicely hoppy.Malty aroma.

Tap. Brown with small head. Sweet malt, slightly syrupy. Eh. I’ve had much, much better.

Pours reddish brown with off white head. Aroma is nut, floral and roast chocolate. Taste is sweet with some acidic undertones. Medium bodied.

From a can poured an amber color with a good amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a lingering aftertaste.

Cloudy brown beer, little bubbly off white head. Slightly crisp palate. Malt and minerals. Trace amount of citrus. Dry finish. Deathly dull.

Pounder can from Capone’s. Pours turbid mahogany with 2-finger khaki head. Nose is earthy vienna malt, not much else. Tastes of vienna/munich brown malt, earthy notes, nuts, mild hops. Fair complexity for a brown ale. A good example of a somewhat boring style.

Medium, pale brown with a small creamy tan head. Aroma is hoppy, pine, light malt, a bit of sweetness. Medium thin body. Flavor is more hop than malt. Pine, citrus, and a bit of caramel malt with light chocolate. Solid brown but a little too hoppy for my tastes.
