Belgian style Abbey Beer with red currants and Brett aged 5 months in a French oak Pinor Noir barrel. Collab with Pipeworks and De Struise.

Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, tart, berry, redcurrant, wood. Flavour is moderate sweet and acidic, light bitter with a long duration, berry - redcurrant, wood, light grape - wine. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130406]

bottle thanks to mark! aromaof cherry not much head. the flavour was mostly cherry i did not get much currant slightly sour very interesting beer

Never had the original for I was really excited to try this. FoBAB 2011. Pours cloudy brown. Aroma of cherry, brett. Nice tartness and cherry flavor. Well done.
