Solid fruity nose - sorachi is definitely evident - nice pear, lemon, weed. Nice nose. Pours hazy light golden, thin head. The flavor is nice and lemony, pear follows, grassy herbal notes, dank. Well carbonated, dry, hoppy and fruity. Good stuff. Very drinkable.

22oz bottle, thanks Ben. Bright very lightly hazed gold with small tight head. Lots of mineral and lemon up front. White pepper, bright sweet fruit...blend of apple and pear, bubblegum, crisp light malt. Fruity pear and apple cotton candy, dry hay, white pepper, lemon, mineral, finishes with kind of dry with hints of salt. Not really to style, but kind of dig it.

Pours light amber with notes of the sorachi hops and light pear. The mouthfeel show a deep notes of the hops with some light banana and background pear. A long dry sorachi hop finish.

Bottle; pour is murky light golden with a fine bubbled, average white head. retention is average, and lacing is a bit cobweb like. The nose is pear juice, soap, and floral hops by my estimation. The flavor profile is pear juice, florals, peaches; it feels a little one dimensional....the soap is annoying. Nice try, though.

Half acre captain fantasy. Growler fill from Andrew... Pours a golden gloat orange yellow hue, mostly transparent, and topped with a thin wispy white head... Aroma of saison yeast with an assertive citrusy hop bent. Hoppy and clean with a lemony orangey feel. a little pear although not as abundant as in the short’s version.. Flavors are much of the same with a refreshing citrus yeasty semi-hoppy bent.
Refreshing and light, extremely drinkable. Much preferred to dripping. Nice.

Pretty disappointed with this one. I could taste the pears really well, and that was nice. But, the rest was just bland and kind of sour. Not my thing.

Bottle. Pours light gold with a white head. Aroma of floral hops (didn’t get much pear). Nice flavor though, very different. Pear is light and sweet, slightly dry. I liked it.

On tap. Funky, yeasty aroma that screams saison, but not much pear. Sweet citrus flavor with definite floral aspects and a dry finish. Decent saison, but not getting much pear.

Bottle. I liked the idea of this beer and was looking forward to it coming from Short’s and Half Acre, but this totally missed the mark for me. It was a struggle to get through more than a couple of drinks. The mix of Sorachi Ace with the rest of the beer did not work and the presence of pear that did come through tasted very under ripe. An incredibly bitter aftertaste sticks around in your mouth for a while. I wouldn’t recommend this.

Bottle from Binny’s South Loop. Pour a sparkling golden with a white head. Nice perfumy and pear aroma. Lighter side of medium bodied with lively carbonation. Flavor pale Belgian wheat malts countered by a moderate spiciness, with the pear being very subtle. Leaning toward the dry side, not overly sweet. Yeasty and spicy finish that lingers. Not bad at all
