Bomber. Pours a clear light amber color with medium white head. Aroma is of intense citrus hops, apricot, and guava. I love the aroma on this. It’s light, bright, and clean. Taste is rich citrus and guava with notes of apricot and mild malt background. Delicious.

22 oz bomber. Orange pour with slight red tint, very slight white head. I get a lot of earth in the aroma. Some herbal and pine hops. A bit of guava. Some citrus. Flavor is meaty, tangy guava, citrus hops, a bit of honey and melon. Very fruity and interesting. Some tangyness from the guava and the wheat. A bit of caramel. Some bitterness in the finish. Light to medium bodied, nice crisp carbonation. Really nice, well balanced, delicious fruit IPA.

Lightly hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, orange, tangerine, apricot, guava and toast. Taste of guava, apricot, citrus, orange, and a fruity, bitter finish.

22oz bomber split with my g/f. Poured into nonic. A - Pours golden/orange, big bubbles, a fingers-worth of head, good lacing and retention. Nice cap on top to round things out. S - Floral hops, guava, slight sweetness (but not much), farm hay, grass. T - The floral hops and guava are really well done. It’s hoppy yet the guava is there to remind you it’s not as straight forward as a regular IPA. A nice Short’s twist on this. M - Light, crisp, refreshing. D - Finished my 1/2 of the bomber easily and could have drank more. I have a couple of bombers left and I’m looking forward to seeing how the Guava does in the next few weeks. Recommend.

[A] Hops. Very pleasant aroma. My girlfriend says guava upfront, but I’m just not getting it. Caramel and pale malts, wheat detectable. [A] Clear amber/golden pour. Not very lively in glass. [F] More great hop flavor. Again with the maltiness. Fruitiness shows toward midway/end. [P] Hop bitter is nice. Very light to mild bodied and easily drinkable. [O] I was expecting the guava to make this lean more toward a fruit beer, but it either blends well with the hops, or is quite an understatement in this brew. 1000 lbs wouldn’t make you think so. Admittedly, never tasted a guava. Not at all disappointed in the end. Glad Cutler & Short’s had a hand in this.

Growler and a couple bottles. This stuff is heaven, especially right out of the tank. Pours a rich glowing golden orange with a medium white fizzy head. Aroma of just a hint of alcohol, bright tangy guava, love that citra hop dry hopping, delicate sweetness with a hint of caramel, huge citrus, light a more citric dreadnaught, so clean, honeydew, fresh grass. Flavor follows but with a bigger than expected citric kick, tangy and tart, nice grassy hops, plenty of supporting tropical fruits, light grass, just light amount of balancing bubblegum bitterness, some grainy biscuitiness towards the finish, love the guava aftertaste that lingers with a wonderful sour tartness. Medium/light bodied, well attenuated leaving just the right amount of sweetness, some corse fizzy carbonation, supremely drinkable. A true treat! Way to go gentlemen!

22 oz bottle from the brewery (Chicago, IL). Pours a very nice lightly hazed darker crisp gold with bites of amber, a bubbly bright white head and well carbonated beer dies to a small film, light lacing overall. Aromas are lively guava, citrusy and tart bite with grapefruit and lemon hops, bready malts with pale malts and a lighter touch of caramel. Bitter grass and weeds, but the guava really strikes a nice fruity effervescence, liveliness, juicy tartness. Malts fall behind leaving moderate to bigger fruit and citrus hops. Initial is medium bodied, maybe a bit lighter, big guava and citrusy grapefruit, hits of tropical mango and peach, bready malts and pale, touch of toast, lighter than expected in malt oomph. Tropical and guava bite, moderate bitterness and lighter bodied with dry florals and grass, soapiness. A nice IPA, juicy hops and guava, tropical fruits with a lighter malt body. The wheat makes it a bit less enjoyable to me, a bit coarse. A touch of bubblegum, juicy guava sticks with it especially as you get further into it. A very interesting project and tasty collaboration. Lighter fare, well hopped and juicy fruits. I really liked this. Strengths of juicy fruits and good hop combos.. Malt body is dissappointing though and appearance is just ok.

growler and now sampled from a bomber... pours a mildly effervescent orange brown with a thin to medium soapy white head... aroma is dank with fresh hops. emphasis predominantly green citrusy hops with a sweeter tangerine on the underside which probably is more attributable to the juicy guava... flavors are much akin to the aroma with really fresh pungent citrus and piney hops with an added guava twist that surfaces midway through that adds a fruity tartness that lingers on through the finish. carbonation is crisp, providing life and good body for the style. goes down easily overall.

Draft sample at Half Acre. Pours a mostly clear orangey gold with a sticky white head. Nose is immediate guava and dank American hops. Straight west coast style nose with the fruit for good measure. On taste, the bitterness is good and strong with the tart guava coming through late. It is quite well balanced with the strong hops popping over the top of the guava until the finish. Clean and fruity guava finish. Very incredibly well made beer. Awesome.
