COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
OK warriors, we’re co-hosting a beer that’s to be delivered from our brew deck to your ceremonial chalice. We’ve again brewed with our cohorts at Three Floyds Brewing Co and have given birth to the sludge of angels, Anicca India Pale. Anicca IPA is single hopped snake juice showcasing the Mosaic hop, a plant throwing off a cornucopia of fruit flavors. Bitter sweet and full of force, this IPA bends your brain into a tropical storm of writhing glory. As the philosophy explains, Anicca will come and go, so come sip this before all is gone.

Admin Note: Please be aware that Three Floyds also has a version of this beer brewed at their own brewery. All Half Acre ratings go here.

Clear red pour with a single finger head. Aroma of passion fruit and body odor. Very dank. Medium mouth. Taste is full of passion fruit and more BO. Lots of bizarreness going on. Pretty bitter. Long dry finish. I’m curious to taste the 3 Floyd’s version.

On tap at Mikkeller, Copenhagen. Pours dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, piney hops under a sweet malty body. Taste is sweet overall, herbal and resiny, sticky mouthfeel, a bit out of focus, still a nice ipa.

Hazy orange color, creamy off-white head. Very fresh hoppy aroma: citrus, gooseberry leaves, cat piss - excellent. Medium-bodied. Fruity, citrus, mango, pine needles. Funny sweet fruityness.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade. Pours clear dark amber with a small, staying, creamy, off-white film head. Aroma has caramel, toasted, quite spicy, herbal, pine, juniper and orange zest. Highish carbonation, dry and quite oily mouthfeel. Flavour is a tad weird, bitter, herbal, bergamot, oranges, bog myrtle and juniper. Seriously dry bitterness. A bit too warming for my liking.

Bart (2941) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 31, 2013
Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Light amber coloured beer with some slightly hazy notes and some light carbonation. Short white head. Stranger hoppy fruity to hopfloral hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is fruity, hoppy with a longer hoppy bitter ending. Ok IPA.

Draft at the Tap Room. Was very excited for this one, but alas. Pours a deep amber with an offwhite head, good clarity. Nose is sticky and almost cloying. Loads of melon and a huge guava/cat piss thing. In fact, the whole tap room smells like it’s been sprayed by a thousand cants. Sticky and resiny, full of late hops on the nose. No caramel, which is good. On tasting, the malt bill is fine. Guessing some special roast in here, not the same malt bill as AK. I actually kind of like the malt. Big and sticky, this beer seems like it was over the top with late hops. More of that guava, sticky and cloying hop resin. This needs some mid boil and a drop in the whirlpool additions. The hop complexity is lacking and makes this just unbalanced overall. Needs more bitterness as well. I wish I could love this beer but I’m just not a fan.

Bottle with Pat, Jay, Ray and Chris. Pours a murky amber with medium, fluffy, beige head and nice lacing. Nose of faint citrus, peach, caramel, cardboard. Medium body. Moderate bitterness. Not very fresh but still decent.
