COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our hefeweizen is a traditional Bavarian style unfiltered wheat beer. Imported yeast and subtle noble hopping create a perfect refreshing beer.

Very refreshing on a hot day at HMB Brewing. Seltzery carbonation very balanced. Coriander spice, orange, wheat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Pours hazy yellow amber with a tiny head and no lacing. Aroma is wheat, lemon, maybe a touch of banana esters. Flavor is light sweet with some lemon peel zesty bitterness. Light body, no real carbonation.

Hazy yellow colour. Aroma has some banana sweetness. Overall a very sweet taste with a little bit of a spicy edge.

Draught at the Half Moon Bay brewpub. This beer is suposed to be a German Hefeweizen but it lacks the typical German banana aroma and is way too sweet. I think its more like Amerikan Weizen, but itís still too sweet.

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of wheat, but also some grain. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of wheat, but also lighter notes of bread and lemon - the latter might stem from the slice of lemon which it was served with - I want my hefeweizen NFL. The body is light.

On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy bright yellow in color with a well-formed one-finger white head. Served with a lemon, which I should dock the appearance for but I wonít. Aroma is your typical wheat, yeast, banana, and clove. Nothing too out of the ordinary to note here. Flavor is very similar to the aroma. Itís a middle-of-the-road or better American version of the style. Not too much banana. Medium-light bodied with a slightly rough mouthfeel and average carbonation. Pretty good for the style overall, but certainly not mind-blowing.

Hazy yellow with a fizzy white head. Decent banana and mild clove aroma and taste.

On tap. Hazy and opaque yellow with a white head. Banana and yeast in the nose. Medium body with fairly sweet fruit accents with classic banana esters and a little yeast. No bitterness. Nice. 090709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is light wheaty, less estery. Dry wheaty and fruity estery from back of the nose. Orange fruity and slight banana flavoured. Bitter and dry estery finish.

Draft at the brewpub. This was one of three beers that I enjoyed here. A nice flavorful American hefe, which is hard to come by sometimes. Pours a cloudy orange yellow color with a nice foamy white head. The aroma is classic with wheat, banana, clove, and some sweet cotton candyish thing going on. The flavor was the same. The only thing keeping it from being great is that the flavors sort of stood on their own without melding together to create a unified brew. Donít ask me what I mean by that, Iím not even sure, but I liked it, didnít love it.
