3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub
The strongest beer available at the time was a half decent shot at a high gravity release. It has a few weaknesses but at least on draft it was not hard to finish a few ounces. If not for the previous samples I might have been able to even finish a whole pint. Stick the wheats unless you need to tick everything though.
Aroma / Appearance - A caramel bronze base with fluid legs hangs around. The smell of cherry Twizzlers, malt, and sweet fresh fruit give it some needed depth. It lacks a cohesive character though that defines it overall.
Flavor / Palate - Malty cherries, red licorice, and the warmth of ethanol fill the mouth with a boozy texture. The caramel driven finish isnít that bad but at the same time it does not really inspire more reflection. For an 8% ABV tap this is on the simple side. It wasnít bad; at the same time there is nothing interesting here.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of frothy fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a uncarbonated transparent golden brown colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy and floral. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild spice hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
tap at Ft Wayne OktoBeerfest - Pours light and hazy amber-orange with a dense head that laces well. The aroma is of caramel malt with indistinct fruit character. It has a very sweet flavor with a tasty chocolate character, a medium to full body, and lingering caramel/cocoa. Good.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Nothing special here, a monster of beer in terms of alcohol. Aroma is sweet, color is amber. Mostly alcohol with a sweet aftertaste. Moderate hops and malt. Would not have again. Any brewer can add a high amount of sugar adjuncts and malt to create a beer with high alcohol content and no taste, but why would you want to?

Yikes. Vegtables and a lot of them. This should be labled as malt liquor, as there are no notable qualities to this other than high alcohol.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled @ DLD09. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma was fruity with a splash of honey and caramel that combined for a high level of sweetness. The flavor was also quite sweet, with more fruit and caramel around. Grainy malts, floral hops, and slight alcohol round out the positives. The problem with this beer is the metallic, chemical issues this beer had.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled from roving 64-oz growler during Dark Lord Day í09. Pours a semi-clear golden pale amber brew with a thin off-white head that dissolves fast and leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma has tones of yeast, vegetables, honey, golden grain malt, and some toffee. Taste is slightly metallic from some alcohol/water issues, light carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, honey a hint of pear and flowery hops. Finish still has a metallic texture with some vanilla and honey aftertaste.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Shared at DLD thanks to.. someone. Poured a bright golden hue, a bit orange, largely clear, a bit thick like honey syrup with small white head that clings a bit to the sides. Aromas pack on some powerful sweetness, honey and fruits, with caramel and faint spice. Flavor is a touch too sweet for me. Faint metallic, strong fruit sugar sweetness like pear and apple juices with faint bitterness on the finish. I donít really dig AStrongAs as it is.. and this just wasnít something my palate could handle. A good effort. Cheers.
