COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yummmmm! Half Moonís Semi-Lunar Oatmeal Stout is a black as night, scrumptious, smooth, chocolaty, roasty, sweetness of a beer. If you like a stout beer, then you will fall in love with this one. A piece of advice, donít be afraid of the dark!

Draft sample at IBGWF 2013. Poured dark brown with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a dry creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet toasted flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable beer.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of roast, cocoa, hints of coffee, some over attenuated roasted malt, hints of grass. Taste is grassy, earthy, roast, coffee, some very slight dark chocolate, finishing sweet, slightly dry.

Nitro draft to mug at the brewpub. Looks good; a slightly translucent very dark cola-ish brown with beige head. Smells of dark malt, chocolate, and roast with some mild oat notes as well. Tastes like it smells, but less chocolatey and balanced, with some bitterness from the roast. A solid oatmeal stout; I donít get much (if any) sweetness on the tongue though.

tap at the brewpub 5/14/13 - Pours black with a small tan head and a dark roast malt aroma. It tastes of heavily roasted but sweet malt with chocolate. The body is a little on the thin side but alright when warmer. It has a long, roasty finish. Good.

Draft @ brewery. Freshly ground coffee, earthy oat, and mocha aroma. Black brown with a small tan head. Coffee, earthy oat, and bright acidic flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very nice
